Royal Flushes in poker are kinda like holes-in-one for golfers. Its mostly luck, and if you play enough you're bound to get one here and there. And when you do, you’ll probably remember it.

Lets post those monster hands because Im sure you took a pic, regardless of the stakes.

My first Royal at a casino came this past weekend at Resorts World. I had the joy of stacking my buddy David. It was his roughly 23rd stacking of the weekend and also proved to be the last straw. After thwacking the cards at the dealer he shouted something to the effect of “EVERY TIME”, and stormed off into the night. I'll never forget it.

Lets see those hands!

I’ve had 2 in casino, both in cash games. $1/$2, both under the gun and flopped them both. I made like $15 total for both. Lol. The first one I checked hoping to check/raise someone and no one bet it. I finally bet the river and everyone folded. The second one I bet right away and got 1 caller to the turn, then a fold. Didn’t show either one. No high hand or bad beat bonus. Disgusting. No pictures either.

Don’t have a picture, but the story is 20 years old.

I was in high school playing poker on Friday night as usual. I make the Royal with a single card on the river. A guest at the game calls my all in with the second nut flush (nut flush not counting the Royal).

When he sees I have the Royal, he proceeds to throw my Pharaohs across the table at me.

He was not invited back ever again.

I understand typically allowing them to walk away and that salt in the wound doesn't typically help... but a K5o might just draw the ole "hey maybe you should play better cards and maybe you'll win next time!" While he is walking away!

I mean A2o had him beat on the flop! He was never ahead!! It's fine.... go get pissed about your own terrible play bro!

Also congratulations Pat on the Royal brotha man!!

I have 2 straight flushes... but never the royal!

This was Omaha, so that was the other half of my hand. His hand was imbedded 2 inches into the dealer’s chest.

We both flopped broadway. I had the flush-redraw. He donk led for pot and I smooth called not trying to stack him. I was soft playing. Then the royal came on the turn and I couldn't not bet. So I did and he re-jammed, with me obviously calling.

Omaha!

Fixed.

In dealers choice, we see royal flushes every couple of weeks.
That's fair, especially in games like Scarney or scrotum.

Omaha is a shorter par 3 than holdem, but still a par 3.

I've had a royal in 4-card PLO, never in NLHE.

I've had a hole in one on a 140-yard par 3, never on a longer par 3.

Don't have pictures, but was playing 1-2 NLHE at four winds south bend during the ND USC game last year when a short stack at my table hit a ATh royal (think it was a $900 jackpot bonus). While he was getting paid out, a reg who was drinking kept telling the floor to get his info too because he was next. I kid you not 15 mins later he turns a ATd royal. Same dealer.

Wild session. The first guy got paid and left, second guy offered to get the table a round of drinks.

Not a royal but still wanted to share cause I fuckin flopped it last night lol. No better feeling than knowing whatever people throw in (they were both betting into me the whole way) was going directly into my pocket lol. 3 way all in, their stacks weren’t in the pot yet so it looks minimal, but it was a good take.

Oh shit! Congrats on being the first NON ROYAL FLUSH IN THE ROYAL FLUSH THREAD.

No pictures, as they were years ago, but I've had three royal flushes in live hold 'em play. Interestingly enough, they've all been clubs. I also saw a royal flush on the board at a table I was at in a tournament (had folded) and people that were there still joke about it being in "Apples" as the cards were from New York New York Casino and the hearts were replaced with apples.

I had the exact same royal in 2004 at the Condado plaza in PR! Amazing hand I actually didn’t realize I had the royal until they shipped me the chips then I looked again and saw it lol.
