Mine is also clearer and it is the same for the pink. Maybe because they are still wet…

I literally just oiled them.

I wipe oil off after a day. Y’all need to calm the fuck down  :ROFLMAO:

Before I lube YOU up…. I’m wild as fuck like that. FAFO!
I figured as much, I have 5 barrels from my 700 chip set curing right now. Oil, flip in 12 hours, flip and blot, blot and flip. At that point I’ll just flip a couple more times, handle for feel and stack.

I like a barrel of each to compare with the rest of the rack.

Then bathe each rack whole and when dry get to oiling. I don’t overdo it but I don’t skimp since they cure for a few days with all that GD flipping and blotting.

I oil anything with labels or inlays with much more care. I haven’t employed a small brush or anything but I’ll do the whole barrel (edges) at once and then individually with my hands over the mold. Gloves optional. Depends on how weird I feel.

Thanks for doing this - much appreciated. I did a very basic clean of my samples but not oiled. Interesting to see the changes and looking forward to see the end result and if that’ll change my options.

Hell,

I’ve even damaged a few of my older Paulsons by being a bit too reckless with the oil, when I first got started in 2019.

I like to be liberal with the edges, but for face work, just work it on with a microfibre cloth that is already laden with oil.

Definitely a risk to overdo it.

Embarrassed to say I broke out a t-set for play a couple months ago.
Someone complained that they are hard to shuffle.
F-n Oil: I did not clean up enough (some barrels). * still on the set after 10 years. :wtf:
