Wish I could remember where I saw it, but someone, some where on PCF had mentioned their experiments on how to fill drilled chips
I'll try to find it. If anyone can find it and can send it or post it here that would be greatly appreciated.

I believe it was Danny who actually started to fill the the Aladdin $1s that he bought. Using some sort of puddy or epoxy that was color matched it looked decent. Although it wasn't a true color match it was pretty close. I don't mind actually getting the color right since it's going to be underneath the inlay.

The main goal is that the chips will be filled so that you won't be able to feel that through the inlay. It'll be even harder to feel that through the laminated inlay unless you really really try to feel for it. I think I'm going to love these things after it's finally done.

Today I've got a fun new project that I'm working on with some chips that I recently acquired. This is the first time that I'm doing this sort of project, but I think it'll be a fun one and it'll help me appreciate these chips that much more. The plan is to take these chips, remove the labels that are currently on them, clean them up so they aren't dirty anymore and then filled in the center drilled hole. After that is done I'm going to relabel them with laminated inlays that will look similar to the original $5 inlays that were on them. I'd like to make them as close to the originals as possible, but I'd also like to make sure that they are slightly different in case these chips would be sold in the future people would be able to know that they aren't original undrilled chips. The plan is to use these in a TRK set in the future which I believe they'd make the perfect fit. Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about what needs to be done, things that need to be done, or how I've been trying to bridge this gap between newer and older chip collectors. There are tons of collectors out there. Some have been collecting for 35-40+ years and some have been collecting for two weeks. We all need to work together to make this hobby fun and there needs to be an acceptance of change. Similar to my last videos, there were many that didn't like the idea, but there was a number of people that enjoyed the video. There will always be two sides to a story, but there needs to be a link to all collectors in this hobby. Let's make chipping fun again!!

There were some highly entertaining posts from @HaRDHouSeiNC on TCB on the back of this idea and the whole « drama » it created  :ROFLMAO:

But at the end of the day…Your chips, your decision Oscar. As simple as that.
I did like seeing @HaRDHouSeiNC comments. That was hilarious.

Thanks Alex, I do agree and I'm continuing the project. I think they are going to look great once they are done.
Plus, the options are limitless when doing custom labels.

Without new blood, the hobby dies. If the hobby dies the "VALUE" of their collection goes to ZERO. Most of the fears I hear coming out from the oldschool singles collectors seem to be centered around what changes to the hobby are going to do and the value of their collections. To me, that's a huge problem in itself. If they are truly concerned about the value of their collection then they should be encouraging a new generation of collectors not dissuading them.

Why do you think dealers are hiding or destroying stuff
All to up their prices
Some of those old time dealers are cancer to the hobby

Today we talk about the newest casino to open in Northern Nevada in over 20 years, the Legends Bay Casino! Its always fun and exciting to see a new casino open in the world and especially one in Nevada. Legends Bay recently had their grand opening on August 30th of 2022. Inside you can find a "80,000-square foot casino features over 650 of the latest slots and video poker machines, including a high limit area, keno, a 10-table game pit with Roulette, Craps, Blackjack, Pai Gow, and Ultimate Texas Hold'Em, and Northern Nevada's first Circa Sports Sportsbook. Along with various dining options include Duke's Steak House, LB Grill, Craft 55, a Food Truck Hall with five unique quick eats spots, as well as three bars." (worldcasinodirectory) They also had two different grand opening chips along with their standard chips featuring a unique LB house mold. Awesome stuff to see! Hope you enjoy.

Thanks to Barry Sherwood for getting pictures of the chips.

Today we talk about the newest hoard of chips to surface onto the internet and those being the Dixie Duck Showboat chips. These are from a day cruise that operated in Florida in the 90s/late 90s. Similar to other boat casinos that operate in the US, they must leave "US waters" into "International waters" in order to gamble. So, the Dixie Duck used to motor 13 miles out into the waters for its customers to gamble. In 1995, the Dixie Duck was moved to Key West to be used differently. These chips are sought after by collectors and the harder ones to find are the 50c and the $1s, sometimes the $5s too. The $25s and $100s seem to be somewhat common.

In this find the quantity counts are as follows:
$5s: 200+
$25s Slightly less than 400
$100s: About ~80

Today we talk about some chips that I recently picked up. These are some of the first serialized TRK chips I've ever seen. The information that Luke Rapley was able to find about these chips was: "The only information I can find on these chips is the name Pedro Flores Gomez and being ordered in 1971. I am not sure if these are personal chips, from an approved card room, or from an illegal club." The only chips out of the everything ordered that is serialized are the 500 and 1000 chips. The other denominations I've seen are 5, 10, 20, 50 and 100 (if I remember correctly). These are pretty unique and special. Surely they were stamped to make sure that they were keeping track of inventory and these higher denomination chips weren't leaving the games that were being played.

Today we talk about the SNCCC (Southern Nevada Casino Collectibles Club) Fall 2022 Show and how amazing it was. I had such a good time during the show and met so many amazing people. Also got to meet new people that have watched the videos and wanted to chat for a bit. Of course talked for a pretty lengthy time with the dealers when there wasn't much going on, but I thought the turn out was better than expected. The SNCCC was able to get News 3 to come by to do a snippet and interview with a few dealers. The show was featured in the Las Vegas Review Journal and more! Also talk about the hunt for chips and how fun it is. Hope you enjoy!

And I feel like you're talking about me in that video......... :ROFLMAO:  :ROFLMAO: ;)

Today we talk about the recent Omnia Auctions that featured casino chips. There were tons of different lots and some lots that only had maybe 5 chips all the way up to hundreds of them. These chips were from all over and there were some very nice stuff. There were a few lots that went for much more than I was expecting them to. Shuffle's Greyhound Park 50 cent and 25 cent chips were part of those that I didn't expect to go for much, but did. There were also TRKs which I love and I was able to grab a few lots for myself! Hope you enjoy!

Today we talk about the current journey I'm on trying to build an older set of chips that used to be together and used at a Las Vegas casino back in the mid 1950s. This goes hand in hand with other that have spent years trying to build that perfect or amazing chip set. This could also go hand in hand with those trying to build THE chip collection of singles. Collectors can spend years trying to finalize a project that they've started and all the time and effort that can go into a project like that. Hope you enjoy!

I literally saw @Psypher1000 new thread "The Black Diamond - Lehigh Valley Railroad" saw the picture of the menu and immediately got inspired to create inlays out of that image. The set that he created with @Gear is absolutely amazing and just WOW. I did a little mockup of my take of using that menu artwork and how I would've done a first draft on a simple set of Large Crowns. I really enjoy the look and thought it fits the years. $100 is a bit too wild, but still nice. Probably would look better with just a single color for the edge spots or stick with the same 314+ used on the $25.

Choo choooo! I like the large crown for a railroad set.

Today we talk about something pretty unique in our community. I had never really seen this be done until the beginning of this year when @FDLmold posted and created his thread on PCF called, "FDLmold: Rat Rod mixed .25/.25 and up leaded THC poker set". The idea behind it is to create a unique poker set made up of all different types of singles. There may be a theme behind it like FDLMold wants them all to be leaded. Of course making sure that all the denominations are the same color, for example, $25s are green, $1s are blue and so on. He has created a pretty insane 800 chip set so far! Compiled of all leaded casino chips, all being Paulsons. Then, we also have @louBdub on PCF who has followed, but done it in his own way by creating a pretty impressive hot stamped set which I've been trying to help him find some nice singles for. He's been working on it for a few months and made some insane progress. I applaud both of these guys on creating something very unique and something out of the ordinary because when we think of chip sets we'd like all of the $25s to be the same within the set. No one has really thought about having 100 different $5s or $1s to make a rack. Its very cool stuff that these two have done and I know that there are a few others on PCF that are thinking about trying to make their own similar style sets, which I'm sure they will have some sort of theme behind too. Hope you enjoy!

I've got my RR set going pretty well now too after being inspired by @FDLmold and @louBdub. I need to start a thread for mine with some photos, but have been waiting until they are all washed because the filth was extreme on some of mine. It is a lot of fun to build a set like this, but also very expensive as I have found out. I will say that dealing with the Rat Rod group has been the best part! A great group of guys!

The thought of attempting this makes me weep, so I guess I’ll say I’m very grateful someone else is doing it. A nifty concept I haven’t the patience for.

Putting this out there for anyone that has or knows of someone who has an Arrow Die chip set... I haven't personally seen one before and I think it would be pretty unique to have one. They don't need to be the top of the top chips, but any type of Arrow Die chip set I would love to see.

I'd also love to see Arrow Die chips in general. If you have some fun ones that you enjoy or if you have a rarer chip that you wouldn't mind letting me use the picture of to talk about in a video would be greatly appreciated. Hope to see some fun stuff!

Today we are going to start a new series on my channel going over the most recent eBay auctions that happened in the last week. This can be some chips that I thought were interesting, I had never seen before or chips that went for much more money than I thought there were going to. This week we had quite a few.... Absolutely crazy stuff seeing a Nevada Club $20 sell for over $200, a Little Caesars $5k sell for over $300, a Riviera $25 baccarat sell for $250 and more. I tell you what, I love this hobby and the people in it. We are seeing some good times like we have for the past year or so. Let's keep it going!

Today we talk about the Diamond Lady Riverboat casino being exposed out of water for the first time since sinking and being docked at McKellar Lake, a backwater of the Mississippi River, in 2008. It is now among several sunken boats stuck in McKellar Lake’s mud as the Mississippi reaches record low water levels. The Diamond Lady first set sail 31 years ago, "Three thousand excited people lined the dock in Bettendorf, Ia. on April 1, 1991 to watch Vanna White christen its first excursion. The riverboat took four trips that day, including a dinner cruise that cost $37.95. In 1992, Goldstein announced plans to move the Diamond Lady south on the river to Biloxi, Mississippi, whose regulations and tax rates were more to his liking. After the Diamond Lady’s last cruise on July 5 of that year, she and her sister ship, the Emerald Lady, sailed to Biloxi’s eastern tip. Here, Goldstein tied them permanently together and to a dock. That created the Isle of Capri, Mississippi’s first dockside casino. But the former Diamond Lady and Emerald Lady were replaced by a barge. And, after being destroyed in 2005 from Hurricane Katrina, the dockside casino was replaced by a land-based casino inside the Isle of Capri’s hotel." (Mississippi Historic Riverboat Casino’s Sunken Shell Exposed by Drought, Casino.org, Corey Levitan, 2022) It's incredible to even imagine that a riverboat that has been underwater at one point is now sitting on the dirt/mud with no water underneath it. Just goes to show that there is a drought happening across many parts of the world. Not just near Iowa, but also places like Lake Mead which has dropped significantly over the last year with more and more secrets coming out of there too.

Today we talk about 43mm chips and my thoughts about them. They aren't the first thing that most would probably think about collecting in the world of casino chips, but they are unique. Most 43mm chips are baccarat chips which have been used for decades now. Today you don't see them too often, but they are still used here and there. Now a days you do see some casinos using 43mm chips as cash chips, NCV, free play, tournament, promo, baccarat and they could be used for other reasons too. In Vegas primarily, 43mm chips were used as baccarat chips in the 70s through the 90s at casinos like the Sands and Dunes, then used as Race and Sports Book chips at places like the Little Caesars and the Frontier. There were plenty of other places that used them like the Aladdin, but that's just to name a few. I personally like them because they are unique, they are mainly IHC (Inverse H&C), they're of course slightly larger, you don't see many of them and it's something different. One day I'd love to have a 43mm chip set. Dunes maybe? or something similar would be amazing! Hope you enjoy!
