Open to trades too... Shoot me a PM with offers.

The time has come for me to start unloading some things that have been laying around for quite some time now. Without getting into all of the details, I need to get of some things [not a fire sale!]. I will be posting a handful of things over the next few days... let me know if you see something you can't live without!

First up, a heads-up set:

River City Casino - Crescent City Queen
$100 x 25 chips / $500 x 11 chips / $1000 x 2 chips
Total of 38 chips

Price - $110 shipped [US] will ship Int'l - but with higher shipping charges

*** These chips have all been cancelled with the starburst hot stamp. Stamps have been removed, but the pattern is still visible. With that being said, the higher denominations of these aren't seen often.

Thanks for looking (y)

I have literally never seen the $1000 before. GLWS!

Thanks!
Like I said... they don't come up very often.
It took me a long time to wait and find both of them... and not cheap either.
Wish there were more available!

Is that a secondary $500? The other River City $500 I've seen is far less attractive.

No, I believe that this is the primary.
The secondary, I believe was the one with the larger, darker inserts.
I like both, but prefer the lighter and more vibrant colors of these!

Used to have a rack or two of the secondaries a long time ago too!

The $1000 with the blue and the green pictured is also the primary, IIRC.

How many of those $500 with the yellow spots are out there compared to the black/blue? Haven't seen these come up for sale before.

I don't think as many. I believe the others were released in much larger quantities when they were hot stamped and sold off.

Not that many. I have 4 of the yellow spot version, and almost a complete rack of the other version.

Anyone seen a full rack of the yellow pips in the wild?

Acetone makes sense. Thanks. GLWS
You need to use the non-acetone nail polish remover! The acetone will eat the chips.

Experiment with a few as even some of the non-acetone removers damage chips. Certain colours will also fade if exposed to the nail polish remover.

Thanks for clarifying. I don’t have any chips which need this. Was just impressed with the results and that it is even possible.

The $500s are out there... just not loads.
I've got 60 of the chips with yellow (arc yellow) pips, and 80 of the other style. They do both look great. The ones with yellow pips are not quite fully clean in the pic below, though.

Nail polish remover (use non-acetone type only! as others noted) will remove the gold foil from the hotstamp, with a little soak and elbow grease.

I’ve seen and own exactly one $1000, cool chips
Coincidentally, I have exactly one spot missing in my display case. (and no, I didn't set it up for this thread, either, it's been like that, except with the 3 chips centered in the row)

Nice little set in the OP.

Need a $5 River City to fill that void? If so send me a PM and I'll send you one.

TSP will also remove hot stamp material, though probably not as easily and thoroughly as nail polish remover.
