ordering chips, have a question (1 Viewer)

I'm in the process of designing chips but for the mean time I'd like to get a medium'ish set of like 300 for a small home game. Also for use for games where I know the chips will get semi abused. I have narrowed it to 2 sets, I really like the Crazy Horse's, has anyone here ordered them?? I'm wondering about the shipping, I'm really trying to have a game by next weekend, so I'm thinking even with the expedited shipping that would be a no go. But I've never ordered anything from Canada so I really have no idea. Was seeing if anyone here has ordered the chips, and how long they took to get them. I'm in Southern Cali. Also, unless I'm Googling wrong, there's nowhere in the US that carries these chips right?

While the chips themselves are the same blank used for the Milanos, my understanding is that the Crazy Horse labels are unique to Straight Poker Supplies. So they aren't available anywhere else.

As to the shipping, best thing might be to contact SPS to see if they have any idea.

You can expedite the shipping, but you can't expedite the processing through customs - and that's really the larger unknown in all of this. It usually doesn't take more than a couple days, but if there's a backlog then who knows. In a perfect world you're looking at two days from Canada to customs, two days in customs, and two days from customs to your door. And as much as I like the J5-designed Crazy Horse label, I don't like any China clay chip enough to have them expedited internationally.

SPS owns the rights to the Crazy Horse label, and no place in the States has them.

And last time I checked I think they were low/out of key denominations like 1s and 25s
