Origin of your Username (3 Viewers)

I was lucky to have a father that loved vehicles so grew up riding dirt bikes, 3-wheelers, 4-wheelers, snowmobiles. So I loved the Crusty Demons of Dirt VHS tapes. Seth Enslow was a maniac that didn’t care if he crashed and did all the jumps the professionals did with zero fear of crashing and burning. So I leverage his style in poker; chicks dig scars!!

Scared money don’t make money!

Been called Lopi (I think pronounced in English as [ l oh- pee ]) since my teenage years. It's like a diminituve form of my family name Lopez, like Jimmy for Jim. And i've been using Lopii9 as my screenname since then for forums/gaming - Number 9 being my favourite/lucky number

Graduated Texas A&M in 1993, was using Aggie93 for most of my user names. After I bought a 1987 Porsche 930, I added the "0".
Similar story- I added second 9 after my 5th drifter. Funny coincidence :)

My first two attempts at making an account were rejected because I failed to pay attention to the apple private relay warning. Those usernames are now unavailable and I apologize to any future members wanting to use the handle Travesty.

After I unscrewed my mistakes, the first name that came to mind was my 2005 World of Warcraft handle.

I kid, at the very beginning of online poker I picked user name 99%evil as I thought it more menacing than 99%fish. Brought the name to chiptalk and now am stuck these years later with it here.

At an old job one time I was driving a fork lift. Left the mast a little too high coming through a bay door. Crunched up the aluminum siding just a touch... They left that little blemish on the building for years and used it to train new employees

Wow, what a great thread. I asked someone what their username meant and they shared the link to this page. I guess I'll add mine. It stems from another hobby but it's more of a lifestyle. I Ride and occasionally race mountain bikes here in west Michigan. We are blessed with so many amazing trails here and with the 4 seasons and the lakeshore and the invention of the fat tire bike you can ride all year round.

Back in 2004 I had back surgery (L4/L5 disc) and once through my recovery I stayed away from low impact strength training. I bought a mountain bike and was fascinated with what they call a singlespeed. I fell in love with the simplicity of one gear that I rode that style bike for the next 20 years. Only recently buying a bike with gears. If you want to clime or go fast you just stand up and get up on it. So One Gear Many Speeds is just a clever way of enjoying the simple things in life.

I also ride fixed gear road bikes. The drivetrain is so simple... no gears, no Maintanance, no hassle... just pedal ;)

‘Fixies’, as they’re referred to over here, had quite a cult following amongst the hipsters at one stage.

As a fat lad, no low gear meant I was pushing the bike uphill on foot. :D

Even though I’ve been playing poker for over 20 years, I just recently started collecting poker chips. Therefore, I’m a noob lol

Guess I’ll add my story. Got sent to military school back in 04. The kids there couldn’t pronounce my last name so they started calling me “Dutch” since well, I’m Dutch. One of my friends there added the “Big” to it because I’m tall and I’ve got a huge head so he said it seemed appropriate lol. That’s how “Big Dutch” came about!
