Not Mine Outpost Casino 1 Dollar 5s and 20s (1 Viewer)

Yeah this guy lost his marbles long ago with regard to pricing these.

Actually, and im probably shooting my self in the foot by saying this, but i was able to make a BIN offer for the San Ramon 1's.
I was able to get the 1's for $175, plus $10 shipping. Which is still pretty expensive, but i was still able to talk him down some.
Maybe he will let the others go for cheaper too? I have my eyes on $20s as well ... but meh ...

This seller is the original source for Outpost chips. They are pricing now based on what single chips sell for at collectable shows. I do not think these prices are market prices - I'd call them crazy prices.

Pricey wheels.

Yep, the Outpost $1s and $5s are pretty worn, regardless of which casino location. But the Pacheco chips are definitely worth more than the more common San Ramon versions. $175 may not be such a bad price for those, at least to some people. But like the good Doctor said, $250/rack is crazy talk. That's what near-mint GCOP chips are selling for.

Those Brown $1 chips were the ballz! My favorite Paulson chips...the warped ones (Long Cane Version) were a kick in the pants though. Baking those chips sukt.

Would give an arm for 10 Pacheco $20 ! Or any $100 Pacheco,

I ended up making an offer via messaging on a set of 1000 chips (200 - 1, 600 - 5, 200 - 20) and the seller refused to even counter. Admittedly, my offer was low, but when a seller asks the buyer to open negotiations with a first offer, I think they are obliged to at least counter even if they qualify that their counter is their last best. Not good faith negotiation imo to simply refuse to counter.

The original source is blinded by the lofty prices he/she gets at memorabilia shows and perhaps fears creating competition by selling a big block of chips at a steep discount. Might be the seller is nearing the last of the chips and is justifiably holding out for top dollar. I suspect the seller considers their eBay offering price to be a reasonable place to start the discussion.

I found them unpredictable to deal with. Sometimes unresponsive, dismissive even rude. Other times helpful and eager. Maybe give it a month and try again?

sucks that he went nutz on his pricing.. it would be curious if he really is down to only a few and tryin to close out with crazyland prices.....last email i asked if he still had that rack of dimes, he asked if i meant $10 or $100 and i told him "no the 10 cent chips he had a few years back at $700".....no reply

It was about an hour ago. He still has plenty, but evidently thinks they're worth $2+ each even in quantity.

glad he has plenty but he went to crazyland on his prices maybe as long as a year or two ago after a long period of very reasonable prices for playable cash sets you accumulate what worked for your games, the quarters were pricey then but everything else was a bargain

maybe it was more than only a few years back...i lose sense of time
