Once upon a time, card rooms spread stud and draw games that required an ante. A $0.25 ante in this case.

The twenty five cent chip from the Outpost Card Room in California. Not "mint" but you can still see the surface hatching on the face of the chip.

I suspect this is the largest collection of this fractional. 400 of them. 200 are used every month when I host a $0.25/$0.50 game. We start the night with all of them in play - yet somehow someone is always asking for change. I got every chip the Original Source would sell me, one rack at a time when the Poker Gods gave me a big win.

The outpost $0.25 chip was flawed in production. You can see the split edge spots. I suspect the card room got replacement chips because there are some in my collection with a slightly differnt color and better edge spots.

Note the edge "layers" when we view the chip stacked and up close. This is another test for condition. Those edge layers wear away fast. The chips aren't mint but did not get very much use.

These are some of my favorite chips. Both because they are essential to my most popular game and because I like the way they look.

PS Don't even think about it.
