Palm Beach Cruise Lines (PBCL) (West Palm Beach, FL - 1997) Spotted Leaded Paulson THC $5s - 100x

About the chips:
Up for auction is a rack of seldom seen Palm Beach Cruise Lines (PBCL) (West Palm Beach, FL - 1997) leaded Paulson Cherry & Red THC $5 chips with Peach and Metallic Gold spots.

These are the real deal, not fakes or tributes or relabels or inlay replaced or otherwise murdered in any way.

Note that these chips are casino used, have some wear, including nicks - but they’re still gorgeous IMNSHO. I grabbed a random barrel, and 10 chips stood on edge, and 10 chips did not.

Like Empress (Joliet) primary $5s, some of the chips were made in Paulson Cherry, and some were made in Paulson Red. There are 35 Cherry chips in this rack. Also like the Empress, some of the chips are consistently a bit darker than Paulson Red, and don’t match up with any Paulson color sample (I like to call this darker version “Blood Red”). 52 chips in this rack are the normal Paulson Red, with 13 chips being the “Blood Red”. The chips are sorted by color in the rack photos so that you can more easily see these differences.

These chips look great, and with textured and shaped inlays, they feel great, too! These are heavyweights, clocking in at an average of 10.9 grams/chip.

Please look at all the photos carefully, and zoom in to judge condition for yourself BEFORE bidding!

PLEASE READ
  • Dealer button and racks are not included in the auction.
  • THESE CHIPS ARE NOT PERFECT. I do my best to photograph any and all imperfections. PLEASE EXAMINE ALL PHOTOS CAREFULLY PRIOR TO BIDDING.
  • I will ship to U.S. ADDRESSES ONLY.
  • If you win multiple auctions, I will be happy to combine shipping in the most economical way that still ensures safe delivery.
  • I ship with USPS flat rate packaging, which includes $100 insurance.
  • If you’d like to add insurance for the entire amount of your purchase, “signature required”, and/or any other USPS options, let me know, and I’ll get you a quote.
  • Please don’t bid if you can’t pay. If payment isn’t made within seven days of winning the auction, I will either offer the item to the next highest bidder, or put the item back in the safe.
  • BIDS FROM MEMBERS WHO HAVE WON PAST AUCTIONS AND NOT PAID WILL BE IGNORED.
  • It is my intent to give all my buyers positive feedback. Because of the “5 feedbacks / 24 hour” rule and the “1 feedback per user per 5? hours” rule I sometimes fall behind. If you win an auction and I fail to give you positive feedback, please remind me!

Thanks in advance for your bids!

Here’s a snippet of a Google Maps screenshot showing the Port of Palm Beach, from which Palm Beach Cruise Line and Palm Beach Princess ships sailed.

Palm Beach Cruise Line is attributed to West Palm Beach (in Palm Beach County), but the Port of Palm Beach is actually in Riviera Beach, a bit to the north of WPB.

The Palm Beach Kennel Club is also marked on the map, along with a couple other points of interest. :D

Those breaks delineate the color changes from Cherry, to Red, to "Blood Red".

Wow... I don't mean to judge, but maybe scale back a bit on the Jagermeister?!

Auction ends tomorrow!

Here’s a ratty old photo of my rack of PBKC unicorn quarters. I lived only a couple miles from that place.

Congrats to @UnicornFlash for the winning $470 bid!

Many thanks to those of you who bid, replied, reacted, and viewed. I appreciate it!

I confess that I’m a bit disappointed @Carnth didn’t win, as I was planning to arrange and align the chips in an extra special kind of way prior to shipping.:ROFL: :ROFLMAO:
