Straight from the guidelines...Just following the rules trying to find chips. You a moderator?

I have a small set with yellow and orange chip values reversed (aka WSOP colors) from what most people got, dunno if that would work for ya...

80x 25
130x 100
30x 500
80x 1000
80x 5000
+extras

Most of the greens are broken in a bit, and they feel awesome. Other chips pretty much still with factory sharp edges.

I wish I could make this work. however, the current set I am working with has orange 1000s and yellow 5000s. Still looking.

Offering up to $4 per chip for gold 25s.

You're doing it wrong. Buy 'em all and sell what you don't want to keep.

My thinking is that the reverse colors for the 1,000 & 5,000 are very rare right? I am not sure but I would assume there is very little (if any) demand for these. If the colors were not reverse I would buy this set in a second. With the prices being asked I would be stuck with about $500 -$600 worth of chips I cannot use or sell. Also, if there were more 25s in the set I may also purchase. I have sort of accepted I may never find gold 25s. Lucky for you I have stopped bumping daily. Maybe a few times a week moving forward. Any additional tips or suggestions on my search is always appreciated.

Reversed 1000/5000 colors are certainly not as common as orange 1000 and yellow 5000 chips, but there were a bunch ordered that way. I suspect that the chips would sell pretty easily, although you might have to take a small hit on the pricing..... which would be perfectly acceptable to me, if necessary to get what I wanted (the gold-foil T25s, in your case).

Best advice I can give you is: a) don't give up, and b) snap-buy whatever you see for sale. Beggars can't be choosers, and these chips rarely hit the market. You can always resell later, but the opportunity to buy may never arise again.

One thing I've learned around here is that I regret not purchasing available chips a whole hell of a lot more than the regret I'll ever have for making chip purchases (even if not really wanted or needed). Get while the getting's good.

I have no clue what Mipevi is charging, but BG makes some pretty valid points. Your looking at 160 chips that you don't want in order to get 80 that you REALLY want. Even if you sold off the Orange and Yellows for a 50% loss, you are still getting enough Green chips for a 10 person tourney without having to buy a 1000 chip set.

Very much what Dave and Scott said above. Not sure how you didn't instantly jump on @mipevi's set. I can't even begin to think off how many times I've bought more of whatever chips than I needed/wanted to get some small portion of the set.

It's very likely to be the only way you'll get the chips you're after. I would think that would be apparent after a month of this thread being bumped constantly (not that there's anything wrong with that...).

Don't want to go into specifics of his offer but it is more than double the price of your sale to me. i get that your pricing was very fair, however, his price seemed high.

Its obviously your call. I think his pricing is probably much closer to Market value than my pricing. Keep in mind, the overall value of your current chips will increase greatly with the inclusion of the 25 chips.

This site is hardcore! people have no idea what the offer is and I get flak for not instantly purchasing and looking for a better offer. A different time of my life I would buy these quickly but I got 2 kids under 2 who gotta eat!! Thanks for the feedback though I get where you are coming from.

Yeah I'm not really looking to sell my set, otherwise there'd be a WTS for it. But after seeing this thread bumped so many times I decided to give OP a crack at them... My pricing ($3/chip) obv reflects that I'm happy to just keep them.

Can't have champagne on a beer budget..... just sayin'. If you are looking to find these chips at a cheap price, well, probably not gonna happen. Ever.
