Paulson Mold Chips for home - Availability (2 Viewers)

The colors in the chip designer tool do not match reality at all. Make sure you get real color samples (and oil them before judging them!) before you do anything.

I agree, especially the yellows. They all seem pretty drab and dull in person.

Not sure if someone mentioned these.
If you're looking for a "first" cash set <wink>, at an affordable price, try here: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/cash-set-sale.99279
See Jumers cash set.

Not everyone loved the colors on the $1 chip, but they are unique and the others bright ($5, $25).
These are from a secondary rack, so brand new Paulson chips.
I don't mind those 1s. What do the primary 1s look like? Google failed.

That sale is over.... primary's are gone: https://www.pokerchipforum.com/threads/black-friday-sale.97257
There were some new primary chips sold.

If you're looking for a quick, authentic, reasonably priced Paulson chip set with new chips - I'd hit buy now, before they are gone.

There's no way to state "the price you paid for these will never go lower", but the Chip Room sale prices are typically the lowest you will ever see.

Does anyone have a favorite set of 5 cent, 25 cent post pics. Thx
Stop typing and buy the Jumers.... LOL

PS: You can look for additional chips in the Classifieds to buy and relabel as .05 or .25 chips.
Often during the initial Chip Room sale, the QUICK ones will purchase the $2.50 chips to relabel as fracs (.05/.25).
Those chips are normally gone in less than 90 seconds. ;)

This is the way…

Nice, what to the labels and denominations look like? And did you add your fracs from the classifieds and relabel or are they all branded the same?
Just one more PSA on fracs.

They are almost never available in a Chip Room sale. IF there are .25 chips, they are typically a very limited quantity and difficult to acquire in the sale. To purchase those in the classifieds, expect to pay 4 - 6x the original price. I have never personally seen .05 chips from The Chip Room.

Your best bet is to do what chipchipchip said.
Solids are usually the best value chip for fracs. I like to use 2.50 (Snappers) chips for quarters as well.

Before you have to ask, see Gear (username) for your labels.

You could pick up a low cost cash set of the card molds to use while you decide what you really want.

Your timing is impeccable. Show up and have an immediate choice of:
1) new cards mold chips group buy ($)
2) cheap Paulson set of brand new chips with quick delivery ($$)
3) grail set of Paulson custom NAGB chips on the most desired mild in bright amazing colors ($$$)

also, check my math here if anyone knows colors and manufacturing really well let me know if these are accurate reproductions of the Paulson hat or Atlantic Club as well as the Key West 20. the colors in the design tool do not actually look exactly like the photos of production chips so I'm guessing at what looks correct. If anyone's an expert on the CPC process, colors, capabilities, etc. let me know. For example, the black 100 chip is using the black from the "weighted colors" but I'm not using the weighted "Orange" color. I'm using the Unweighted "Dayglo Tiger" orange and I'm not sure if they are compatible. Seems closer to the Paulson orange spot so looks better at least in the designer. Open to feedback if anyone is interested in this sort of thing and can't help themselves to comment ;). Cheers,

Stay clear of dg saturn, it’s NOT a good color irl. Dg yellow, canary or dg arc yellow are all much better yellow choices.

What a nice looking set. Looks perfect!
HSI's are my favorites

These are two options I have explored. I personally like the little green quarter NCV cinci chip. I picked up a rack of @Gear overlabeled snappers here and are pictured in contrast to the non-overlabeled version. Many chips can be overlabeled or de-labelled and a new custom applied. I personally like having a big casino set, but others look at the chips as a base to modify into their own custom relabeled sets. So whatever you buy do not worry if there isn't a specific denomination available, you can make one.
Another option when high value chips are expensive/not available is to order plaques.

PCF is an OCD junkies gaming rabbit hole. Careful budget accordingly, we will enable you to buy in excess and support your decisions to leap in further...

Custom chips (or stock CPC) may not be the wisest decision if value retention/increase is a goal of yours.
Yeah, they really are passion projects. Still, there’s something immensely satisfying about creating a fully custom set of chips. If one goes that route though, it should definitely be with the expectation that it’s a keeper set.

Sorry for the delay... I was very busy these last days...

In addition, I have to correct one of my comments, because I wrongly thought that the key west chips were no longer available. So I was thinking that you had a deal in sight for a certain batch, hence my remark concerning the possibilities of relabelling. Idea in which I was later reinforced by seeing your post in which you mixed some Key Wests with Atlantic club tokens. The idea is not bad, however the molds not being identical, you should rather go on one or the other of the 2 sets. Some here consider it inappropriate and unsightly to mix different molds. But I see now that you have come a long way and are now heading towards a fully custom set. This is probably the best option depending on your tastes.

On Friday nights (back in the day) I did some trading while I was gaming and my boilerplate reply to anyone asking to trade is "I'm looking for cradles" That was back when they were type 2 legal so the card pictured above were trading for around $5 to $10 tops... so if I didn't need anything I just said I'll take your cradle in trade... now they are worth $1000+ give or take the given month. :p
Nice! I also experienced this with a few cards, but not for such a large increase. That said, since it's been a few years since I quit the game and haven't taken my boxes out of the attic, I might find some treasures there! Well, I hope...

Day 3 now in my slippage down the poker chip forum rabbit hole. I'm noticing that as well. I just missed out on a great set of HSI because while I was asking what HSI meant someone else scooped up the paulson set. I'm half joking but it's true... I'm still trying to figure out so called "naming conventions" and "sentence structure" and the savy are scooping up great deals.

PS: although I love the idea of designing my own set, value retention, quality clay molds/colors, and aesthetics are still my goal. I suppose I should be thinking of resale. prolly not many people scooping up used sets of custom chips with strange labels and color combinations?

What should I be looking at? HSI's look really nice and affordable. LOVE the white $1 chips with purple 416 spots.
