gopherblue, I agree with your reply and I also thank you for it. Specifically about $18 a chip being ambitious, but hey, if I was a millinaire looking for these, I might pay it, so lets give them a week, then I'll put the, up for auction here.
Also, no probelm taking any pics or video requested. I'm legit as is the chips set.

True about the taxes, I'm not above saying I'm trying to avoid them and also consider that in an auction value here. I really prefer to sell them here, auction format in the classifieds, but want to wait a week to see if anyone wants to pull the trigger on eBay. I agree that this community does seem tight, like a throwback to around 20 years ago. I'm wondering if the average age here is a little higher than some other forums, less drama. I've liked it so far and plan to at least stick around to watch chips fly and look at yall's chip porn. Thank you for your reply.

Yes, your calculating correctly for what they are. If someone has the descretionary funds and wants to pull the trigger on eBay at 8888.88, I'll pay the taxes and fees. But I don;t think that will happen and if not, will be putting them up for auction in the classifieds. That is where this post strted by the way, it was admin moved to the General Poker forum. I'd actually like to stick around for the reaons stated above, but you guys also seem to ne geniunely instrested in what I'm facing medically and healthwise. Some people don'[t seem to gety it, coypled with "ME ME ME" society today. In some ways, this poker forum has been like a breath of fresh air, no pun was meant!

I put that out there for what it is, almost criminal I didn't buy a 1500 chip set at the time instead.
To everyone else, if I don't redspond to you personally, please don;t be offended. I don't stay online much these days, I did IT the last 20 years I worked, don't spend as much time with it like I did in years past but I'll try and check in at least once a day here.

Well, you guys had the whole fiasco about weights in fish recently. That was fun being an outsider to the sport or hobby, whatever it's considered.
 
The chips are very nice and I wish you good health. But, you won't be able to sell them at that price. Many people see the price for 1 chip, multiply by the number of chips and decide that someone is willing to pay for it! This does not work with large sets...
You want $8,888 for 500($4,725) chips. For fantasy chips??
I could just go to Aria's casino and get that amount of chips in the cage.
Or order a duplicate from CPC many times cheaper...

PdC is a venue in Canada. From what Ive read, the venue used to rent out the chips for various reasons.

So not a traditional casino as such, but definitely real chips for a real purpose.

I read a long time ago that they were made for some kind of agricultural exhibition. (Look at the plant label) I'm 100% sure it wasn't gambling.
Perhaps they fought for the title of harvest champion!
And these strange denominations of 10 and 50 ($/€/¥) speak for themselves....
The chips are excellent, no doubt about it.
But at $18 per chip, I could easily buy anything on this site..

You’re missing the point. They’re really rare and he’s hoping somebody on eBay with more money than brains will bite. Nothing wrong with taking a shot.

Although I'm surprised how eager everyone here seems to be to get the new guy squeeze as high a price as possible out of these chips.
You don't see that very often around here since prices have skyrocketed after some cornering of the market by a handful of high rollers.

Everyone here is very friendly. And while this topic is not in the "classifieds" section - this is just reasoning. And everyone has the right to give these chips their own assessment of the cost.
 
Pdc we’re leaded right? And in the condition and colors for leaded THC the price isn’t tooo bad. People, myself included, just paid a grip for Tigers and these are just as bright and probably more desired with fewer numbers.

The challenge is paying a premium for a project -- and likely a multi-year one, at that.

With a playable breakdown, I could see someone possibly swinging for it.

Oh if he listed them here at that price I’d be mocking him. And if he relists then on eBay at that price, every month for the rest of the year, I’ll mock him. But realistic shot taking seems refreshing.

The eBay listing relisted automatically. It was up two days and I canceled it. I’ve messaged admins asking best course to ask questions and get them listed. I don’t have enough posts to list them as an auction, without being a supporting member. I’m going to look at what it costs to be a supporting member.
