I'd (personally) take a set of these at just under $3/chip every day of the week over almost all every damn one of the home market Paulsons.
^FYP.

RIP, PAULSON CHIPS mold, you butt-ugly f@#ker.

In the grand scheme of things, these PCA chips are a steal.

^This.

While not cheap, I'd (personally) take a set of these at just under $3/chip every day of the week over almost all of the home market Paulsons.

I originally left out the word "almost", but I didn't want to speak in such absolutes in case there was a home market set that I'm not aware of that might actually trump the PCA.

I just didn't know if there might be a fantasy Paulson set out there that I'm not aware of that I might prefer to my PCA secondaries (something like your 20th Century chips)

^^ there is, and Larry has them all. They're called Horseshoe Casino Gardena and are impossible to find lol.

Yeah, but 20th Century chips (and Le Cove, le Noirs, etc.) are in a different class than the more plentiful run-of-the-mill cheaper stuff on home-market molds like Classics, NPS, CdI, even Worlds....

Will miss the days of Guiness rebuying for a box of reds....

Looks like a pretty sweet deal for someone to pick up the entire lot. Wouldn't be surprised if they all get sent overseas.

Yeah, if we're talking any of the run-of-the-mill Paulson home market molds, you can take the "almost' out of it. I was actually thinking specifically of the three chips you mentioned (20th Century, Le Cove and Le Noirs) when I made my "almost" post.

There are a few Paulson fantasy sets that rival some of the best casino releases IMO. Already mentioned are the Horseshoe Gardena, Le Cove, 20th Century, and Noir sets. I would add the National Poker Series.

I still hate that the Noirs have that awful $1 and the NPS $5s have that fat off-white spot or else I'd have built massive sets of at least one or the other.

Not all of them. ;)

Though there are quite a few home sets on the SCV and Suits mold (or of course the Noirs with their own mold).
I personally don't mind the Paulson mold on my Pharaohs, but my name happens to be Paul, son!

Fuck no. Currently attempting to see if there's a number of repetitions that will.

Just curious. Because I've been muttering "2400 PCA chips is enough, you don't need more" to myself over and over again for the past hour and it's not really helping.

Yeah it really depends on the chip for me. I don't like it on the Pharaohs for whatever reason or on the CDIs, but I don't mind it on the NPSs.

"I will be content with my Empress chips...I will be content with my Empress chips...I will be content with my Empress chips..."

Be careful there, my friend. My internal PCA vs Empress struggle is exactly why you have 1600+ of those chips that used to live here.....

If Paulson had released J5's NPS artwork on the suits mold, I'd have 2000 of 'em, and they would see a LOT of play. Even with cheap-looking glossy inlays. But if they want me to advertise for 'em, they're gonna pay royalties.... ;)

I'll miss playing with these. This is an amazing set, and awesome when the game starts getting deep and the chips start really piling up on the table. Don't think I ever saw a hundo or 500 in play, but they're gorgeous.

He bought in for a box of green and a stack of black once. $1/1. Sickest thing I've ever seen at a home game in my entire life.

I remember the first time he did this. Grabbed a brand new mint box of reds in a .25/.50 game. Back then, this was shocking. Tame by today's standards.

I left shortly before this happened, so the sickest thing in a home game I've ever seen is the $4k+ pot between you two, where equities were 49/51, and you ran it once.

Wish I stayed the night he did this. Those $25s are sick in stacks. Way better in person than in pics.

Holy shit....I just remembered when I had a separate set of these years ago (paid a mucho premium to get them from the Treehouse pre-sale before pre-sales existed)....

I got these before the first Bounty Battle and Guinness and I had an escalating series of flips that resulted in our first (of a few) 1K flips.

I feel like you're giving away some of our children Tim. If I wasn't short rolled I would snap on a admiralty set of these. Awesome chips. I'll try to find the pic when I had stacks of greens and a stack of black. Sexiest live chip photo I ever took.

Someone please buy the lot b4 my bonus check comes in. On second thought....I could tell the wife that it was a down year and corporate goals weren't met. Hmmm, will have to hide chips at someone's house for a few months.
