I've always appreciated the WACKY color choices for these denominations on the old school Lake of the Torches/Lac du Flambeau chips.

Sierra Sid, because somebody mentioned it and I like it. Although it is similar to Ponderosa and I think Ponderosa is better in every way.

Each nominated chip has a single chip image (called image 1) and then action or splash pot or rack or barrel or other images (called image 2, 3, ...). So I'm just saving images like this.

For chips that lack an image 1, I'll just get one from chipguide. I'll set up some random pods on Monday so we can start voting and get the party started.

I might be a bit biased because of my addiction to this long gone and somewhat forgotten downtown Vegas place, but the old hub mold, different front and back on the inlay and the metallic gold printing on the bear just vaults this to the top of my list:

California Club Vegas has an awesome hub 25c chip with the bear on it. Darn shame about that crater in the chip.

If you limit it to H&C (scv or lcv) and United States, you'll cut your work down a lot. Foreign chips never win these, and non-THC chips never win either. I'm hoping that changes with this new series of contests, but I'm not betting on it! Hot stamps don't even do very well.

Christmas Island is in the middle of nowhere. My Australian sources tell me those chips are still alive and locked in a vault somewhere. I have dreams of unlocking it one day and having a playable set.

I agree! I have the whole edition, quarter through $100 (no $1 as they used silver dollars) and the $25 is the only one that's cancelled. The $25 was a rare and hard enough one to find that cancelled was likely my only option.

I've never seen another one available and have only seen an intact one that's on the Chip Guide.

The quarter shows up now and then on eBay, as does the occasional $5 and the less frequent $100. The inlays are just so nice, I'm sorry the photo doesn't show the metallic ink too well.

I mentioned it in Post 33 along with Sierra Sid's but I don't see it officially nominated (I'll ignore the limit next time). Here's a pic I stole off of Ebay...
