Keep seeing rumors popping up on the interwebs about a PH room re-opening. Nothing from any real sources though. My guess is just internet fodder.... but curious if anyone has heard anything from a source they might think is somewhat more credible? Same on the Caesars room re-opening?

I'd assume if there were plans to re-open either, Caesars would confirm, even announce it to generate interest. Then again, assuming a logical business decision by Caesars Entertainment is probably a stretch.
 
On Caesars, it seems pretty certain that they'll get a poker room going soon. Interview with a Caesar's VP -

"One such project that he gave an update on was the poker room at Caesars Palace, which gave up its previous home near the sportsbook to a high-limit slot area last year. McBurney said a new poker room would be open “before the World Series of Poker starts” in the late spring."

It's their flagship property, and I think they consider having a poker room to be part of that.

On PH, I have seen where PH is trying to do more with their 2nd / mezzanine level. Seems like Venetian has been successful in having a poker room away from the main casino floor. I think that's lead to some rumors of PH putting poker on the second floor. Seems like wishful thinking unless something more definite comes along.

The room that's opening is only 8 tables. Apparently this is a temporary location near the statue of David. They just wanted to have this up and running for WSOP.

It sounds like they plan to upgrade in the future -

" Update: Caesars confirmed with Card Player that a temporary poker room will open in Appian way before the 2025 WSOP starts. A “permanent home for our new elevated poker room will be announced at a later date.”
