Tommy submitted a new resource:

Poker Chip Database 2.0 - A database for custom, casino, and fantasy chip sets.

Poker Chip Database 2.0

The PokerChipDB had been migrated over from PokerChipDB.com and is now part of PCF. This eliminates the need for two separate logins.

PokerChipDB is for cataloging "playable" sets only, which includes personal customs, casino sets, and fantasy sets.

  • Casino Sets: Sets from casinos that closed, rebranded, or never opened. (chips in their oringinal form only)...

Another high quality video from PCF Productions.... :D

@Tommy just checked out the new chipdb. Looks great by the way. Im not sure if this has already been asked but is it possible to filter by mold type/chip type by each manufacturer and if its even possible to filter by edge spots. I know on chipguide you can search by mold but not edge spot. Given that level of detail is discussed quite frequently I thought it would be useful information to be able to search for a particular type of chip especially if one is trying to fill a gap in a mixed set etc. Totally understand its extra data to capture but it best to suggest these at the beginning before the db gets any bigger and the task of adding that info to existing task become a massive undertaking. Happy to help out with the process of populating the information in the existing database if adding that extra detail is a possibility.

ok. something to look forward to.

I had a quick look at the casino set and the only filter option was to manufacture by the couldn't select mold / chip type. something to look forward to in the future

Sounds like you are looking at the set search options.

Does this also include retired chips from live casinos?

Have not considered live chips, I know some have harvested playable sets.

how do we account for relabel chips in peoples custom sets? they rabbit we create for ourselves here on pcf

If the entire set consists of chips that have inlay/label replacement, or label over, then that would fit in Custom sets. Otherwise there would by many duplicate chips. I make look into adding a 4th category later as a catch all for sets/chips that don't fit into the current categories.

Thanks to everyone who has added sets to the Poker Chip Database. If you have a set or even a sample set of a playable set (ex: from a Chiproom sale) that have not been added yet, please consider adding them.

Thanks!

Could someone who got an sample set of the Indiana Grand chips add them to the ChipDB?
I was planning to do it last night but ran out of time. I should be able to do it tonight, can anyone point me to the post where Jim gives us the colors?

Alright, I think I'm done. Feel free to spot check as I'm not overly familiar with Paulson edge spots. I forgot the grand opening chip.
Looks great man, thanks!

Just wanted to say thank you to everyone who have been contributing to the PokerChipDB. Seeing new sets added often. You guys are awesome!

Never used this or knew about it until now... how does this compare, to Chipguide?
