Do any of you chip experts have any idea where this chip is from? Found in Arkansas where I know there were a lot of illegal casinos and curious if this is one? Potentially the White Front from Hot Springs?

Yeah, I found that page too but was curious if there was the chance that they maybe ordered other chips? Who knows? I certainly don’t!

I would say no, not the White Front. Those seem to all be T-molds with a different stamp. Not conclusive, but I doubt it.

Same stamp on the back? Or is there a denom?

I’ve done some research on the White Front and found some really really cool information on it. It was owned by Richard Galatas who was a mobster that actually served time at Alcatraz from 1936 - 1938.

He served at Alcatraz because he was an organizer of the Kansas City Massacre which saw notorious gangster Pretty Boy Floyd and two others kill four men (including two federal agents) trying to free their friend Frank Nash from federal custody. Nash was also killed in the ambush.

Depending on when in 1938 they were ordered, they were probably handled by Galatas.

Famous gamblers at the White Front were Bugsy Siegel and Al Capone.
