These boxes look perfect. I will probably not be able to buy these in Germany thoughI found watch boxes on eBay that fit 5 racks well. I like the glass so they are displayed. Boxes are solid wood also.View attachment 589585

What does the underside of the tray look like? Do they safely stack without toppling? I am asking because I have a handful of these "dealer trays" and deemed them useless as my tables don't fit the cut of them. Also, did you build the trays yourself?

Awesome!
That's got to weigh a ton!
1,800...... I think you need 200 more to round that out to 2,000. At least that's what I told myself.Storage solution for my new 1800 chip HSI set with cards and dealer buttons. Used an Apache 4800 case.

Yes, I'm relabeling the Secondary $1a as a frac.1,800...... I think you need 200 more to round that out to 2,000. At least that's what I told myself.
Also, why both versions of the $1s. Are you going to label one of them to something else?
that is an insanely chip price for that! Only down side is that you will have too disassemble the whole thing to move it. I bet you couldnt buy the brass foot rail brand new for the price. Here’s one for display.

Damn!!!! Well done!!!!Some amazing storage on here! For my poker room I built a cabinet between the studs and salvaged a cabinet door adding some metal mesh behind the glass. Some lighting, peel and stick wallpaper, and custom angled shelves so you can see them. Now I just need some beautiful custom chips!

That is super cool. And built only like 30 min away from me!Picked this up this weekend. Each drawer fits 8 racks perfectly. Who knew 100 years ago they would anticipate my need for 9600 chips storage.

ty!Man, either the walls of your house are really deep, or this must bump out into the adjoining room! Either way, nice work.
Do you keep lead weights in the lower shelves? how many drawers can be opened at once? I am impressed the unit does not tip forward with the weight of the chip drawers open.Picked this up this weekend. Each drawer fits 8 racks perfectly. So I don’t know if anyone has told you this as you posted this in 2020 but I was looking at ideas and came across your post. I am fairly certain that number 7125…. Is a NSN or national stock number. It’s what the department of defense uses to catalog and order parts. After a quick google search it looks like it was a helicopter tool storage case before you beautifully crafted it into the chip display. If you are looking for something unusual, I’d suggest looking at local thrift stores and low-end antiques stores... Keeping your mind open to creative ideas.
After looking at a ton of options online, I found an old steel cabinet — maybe for printers or a machine shop.
The beauty of it is that the drawers are string enough to pull out almost all the way and tip out, without them falling. So I can really access the chips easily for sorting etc.
The drawers also can be removed all the way and carried to a table etc.
I customized them to snugly fit standard racks, using square dowels which I painted the same olive drab as the cabinet. I also added some nonskid material underneath, drawer liner used for toolboxes. This was probably unnecessary but it cleaned everything up.

Link for the case please! I've been looking for something like this in the EU for a while.Just bought a cheap Riffle Case for about $60 on german Amazon.
I cut the insert so that I can store 13 casino racks with 1,300 chips in it.
Since the chips had a little too much play at the top and partly fell out of the racks or it also rattled, I cut a foldable yoga mat under the racks and on top, so that now there is enough pressure from above and the chips no longer move.
I will cut out some more in the front to accommodate buttons and cards.
