Still chalky. Going to wipe them down and give them a tiny bit of oil.

I got 400 more on the way with some $25s. Should have around 700 total in this set.

Thanks. I forgot to thank @acl1904 for finding out that these were from a Cali cardroom. The eBay seller thought they were Paulson's home line chips.
And @gmunny for selling his set to me.

Sweet! I'm glad "someone we know" got them. I was waffling on picking these up myself (I love LCV) and felt a pang when I realized they were "gone".

Congrats and thanks for the pr0n! Looking forward to more when the rest arrive.

Yes!!!! I've been waiting for this post! Those look awesome! Not exactly Cali colors, but those spot edges are still pretty hot.

Very nice set! Congrats.

Me too. I was so close to pulling the trigger on these, but didn't

Congrats @Tommy, they look awesome!

Same here, almost snatched them up just for the chalky quarters. Glad to hear that a large set has been assembled using these, and is in good hands.

Did gmunny have any of the blue $1 chips?

Nah,..the yellow and purple $1s.
Total count will be...

226 x .25
303 x $1
120 x $5
45 x $25

Nice. Re-labeled CdM 5 chips would probably mix in well with those yellow $1 chips if you need/want more. Can't recall any Paulson reds with white 312 spots, though.

You need some nickels. :)

I'm looking for some extra $5s for spares. Even 1 chip would do. This will be a good set for when the guys at work come over to play. 6 players, $50-$100 buy in.

CPC hot-stamped 312-spotted Jockey molds may be your best bet. Just sayin'.....

Some $1s that I wiped down. Chips are over 30 years old. A tiny bit of oil and the dark purple spots will come back to life.

Curious when Cali colors became standardized? The Mapes and these don't follow the pattern. Where are the yellow 5s! :) Nice score.

Not sure. I would like to know that too. They did have blue $1s on the SCV. They closed in 1985 so definitely after that. I do prefer the yellow w/purple though since the quarters are solids too.

The rest of the chips came today. Just finished giving the $1s a light cleaning. The other denoms were just wiped down with a damp cloth. Haven't oiled any chips yet.

The quarters, $5s, and $25s all appear to be new. The $1s saw some play (not much). The edges are still razor sharp. They cleaned up nicely.

All you guys designing/ordering custom poker chips and then scooping up sweet sets in the meantime are killing me. :D:cautious:
