I’m not so sure about this one. $1.15 in 2010 dollars is probably roughly equal to the $1.80ish that the Chip Room was selling mint Diamond Jacks for, last summer. (And that’s in real dollars; in chipping dollars, I’m assuming 1.15 could buy you the world in 2010 - I dunno, I wasn’t there.)But looking back now………I think these ultimately take the cakeView attachment 1291711View attachment 1291709View attachment 1291710.
My friend has these, we play our home cash game with them. Awesome chips!
$1.15 per was pricey for 2010, my players at the time thought I was crazy for paying that.I’m not so sure about this one. $1.15 in 2010 dollars is probably roughly equal to the $1.80ish that the Chip Room was selling mint Diamond Jacks for, last summer. Suits mold might be a little prettier than RHC, but it’s a little slipperier too, so I’m not sure that mold is a big winner.
This is a deal many people today would kill to have, but considering the year, I’d give this one a merely passing grade on the bang for buck scale.
Those SP are super cool. The colors don't agree with me but I like that casino.I would have to say my horizon edge set or the foundation set. South point was probably the best deal ever I think that was $50 a rack with the rack included straight out of the cage room.
Horizons are leaded RHC, have to snap a shot of them all together some time soon.. Foundations leaded THC from my home state

Best value set of all time.

Edit: the 13 other racks combined cost as much as the 1 blue rack on the left.
Most posts are best pickups regarding purchase price vs value, which I guess is what OP posted.
I’ll throw something different and say my IGs/Paris/Adolfos (and tigers if I buy one of my sets back one day).
Not *only* we’re the 3 purchased at their cheapest possible price (TCR/DirectfromCage/DirectfromAdolfo), but they are literally my home casino set, a set from my first Vegas/wsop trip, and a local set that I picked up from the owner and then proceeded to buy rounds of shots for the patrons of his bar.
I mean……pretty damn fantastic. My entire roster of sets is meaningful and pretty objectively pretty

Amen, bruthah. These chips have opened the customs world to tons of people.Get out the pitchforks, but best bang for your buck (not cherry picking finds) would have to be some Tina’s.View attachment 1292221View attachment 1292222
Fully customizable, great look, and I have had absolutely zero issues with my sets. I’m not a clay only snob, so the ceramics work great.
If you just can’t stomach Tina, plastics are tough to beat too. They’re going to last forever, and I think they look and feel great. Their price, like Tina’s, are, for the most part, going to be much lower than the average as well.View attachment 1292226View attachment 1292227View attachment 1292228View attachment 1292229View attachment 1292230

Basically into the entire set for the face value of the live chips (trades and what not). So I can use and abuse these.. and then when the chips become obsolete I have the choice of keeping them or returning them and getting my money back out guaranteed.
Basically a rental set for free. Tough to beat that in my eyes.
It's a restriction @Gear has with doing labels for open casinos. For quarters he doesn't mind, but for higher denoms he adjusts them slightly so they are never 1:1.This is a beauty.
Rental fee of inflation and opportunity cost, not bad at all!
Out of curiosity, why didn’t you put Las Vegas, Nevada on the $20?
Curious as to what these go for now? They’re my 2nd favorite behind my Paulson Pharaoh's
A friendly chipper to chipper price would be about $2 per. Right now with the current state of the economy I wouldn’t expect much more than that.Curious as to what these go for now? They’re my 2nd favorite behind my Paulson Pharaoh's
What’s that you say? A paulson relabel custom? Oh do I want a sample? Oh that’s too kind, absolutely. My relabel set. I put it together pre-covid. I spent ~$2.50 per chip (chip, milling, labels). It would probably cost double or triple that now

They said bang, not plink. But you do sure have plenty for target practice.
