Thanks,
He is a present for my boys, but I really wanted him too. He will be their first dog. And I'm sure they are going to be super excited.

Pets/Dogs have always been part of my family. My wife and I have been married for almost 29 years. I think we have had a dog for all but 3 months. They can be a great companion!

Just snagged this for the "Kids"... It's for Christmas, but I'm half tempted to break it out to test the games for "kid appropriateness"... :)

Then I just snagged this yesterday! Well, I placed the order....

I think @One Eyed Dollar just got the same phone!

Moto G5S+. Budget phone at $279 ($239 on sale), but I don't need blazing fast Snapdragon chips for what I do on it... And with the battery being non-replaceable, I give it two years until the phone needs to be scrapped, so why break the bank at $900 on the new Samsung Note 8? We'll see how my tune changes in 6 months.

After multiple Samsung phones with multiple issues, my daughter has had a budget Moto phone for about a year with no problem. They really seem like a nice phone at a reasonable price.

I'm still getting my Moto X4 set up, but I like it so far. This is the most slippery phone I've ever held though. A case is a must-have. I like that it takes an SD card so I can put lots of music on it.

Agreed, @One Eyed Dollar. What's the point of an aluminum body when I'm going to put a case on it anyway. Plastic body is fine with me. I'm relatively gentle on my phones anyway.

My requirements were expandable memory and replaceable battery. The G5S+ got really high marks for performance in a borderline budget phone, so I overlooked the non-replaceable battery. In my experience, the company stops making them after a year or so, so you're getting an old battery (if you can find one) or a non-OEM battery anyway. I guess this is just life now, new phone every couple of years.

Not a big ticket item... but epic none-the-less. We took a coworker, who has never had a gyro, much less one from the World Famous Parthenons in Madison. Coworkers assessment. ‘“Life altering”.

Those fries look really good

Ever since you guys got me started on wine again at @Jeff's place, coupled with wine.woot closing at the end of the year, I've bought a substantial amount of wine...

All this plus a case on the way. Also the bottle of fancy balsamic hiding in the back. Can you tell I'm a fan of Wellington Vineyards?

@justsomedude

SWEET!! How do you like it? I've been considering one for ever!!

I really love it!! It's definitely best used in low-lit rooms, with it really shining in dark rooms. I can't see the pixels at all at normal viewing distance, and in a darker room it's basically a theater experience. That said, I spent a bit more to get a nicer unit so it would work (relatively speaking), with the lights on.

Here are some samples with all of the over head lights on in the studio. It's not great, but for background sports/movies on poker nights, it will work just fine (and much better than the cheap piece of crap projector I had before this one). NOTE - These were taken before I figured out the zoom function, so the projected area is a bit smaller than those shown in my prior post above...
