Just picked up after 2.5 years of waiting...

I hated wearing Tacks. I always felt like they were too heavy and I couldn't accelerate while wearing them.
The Tacks have always fit my foot best. That being said, these have taken more of the shape of the Bauer Supreme line, so I had to go with the EE width. The whole boot is carbon fiber. You can't tell from the picture, but they don't have an outsole, its all one piece. Crazy, crazy light. By far the lightest skates I have ever worn.

I feel your pain, I always wore EE or EEE if possible. My last skates I wore were Easton's, and they are probably almost 20 years old now. I haven't been on the ice in 5 years though. Life caught up to me fast. :(

I won't get new skates... The last pair I bought are Bauer Supreme (4000's I think, in EE width) but they are leather... Fuck that molded shit. My skates are probably 15-20 years old, and they have another 20 years in them. Ive replaced the blades once already.

Meanwhile, my kid needs new skates every 3 years, and not because his feet grow... I guess that's one way to increase sales...

First game went well. It took me a full period to get used to skating at game speed on these. It sounds crazy, but they are almost too stiff. I'm not going to lace as tightly next time. It might be mental, but the edges were outstanding! Felt more power in the turns and strides. Just felt really solid. All in all, the best skates I have ever worn.

Chips will look great on that red velvet!

Purchased this...

What you're looking at is the Trek World Headquarters in Waterloo, WI.

I did NOT purchase Trek's world HQ. I did however, purchase this ebike.

It's actually a work related purchase, as I'm teaching at a bicycle conference in April next year, and my workshops relate to ebikes. Figured I probably should have one (so did Trek). :)
