Just bought a factory refurbished Epson 3800 4K projector for my poker barn/studio/workshop. Saved me about $400 not buying new.

It’s a little below a true professional grade but after a lot of research I concluded this was the best value I could get for about $1,250.

I was looking for something with at least 3000 lumens, a long throw, and relatively high contrast, since this will sometimes be on with some lights when not used strictly for movies.

Tested it out at about a 20’ throw and it looks super, at least compared to the 1080p monster I bought more than a decade ago.

Hooked up to an AppleTV 4K unit I can send the sound to my in-ceiling Denon system rather than the small speakers on the projector.

Will post pics once I’ve got it ceiling mounted.

My plug in Prius at my house needed a jump.

Very strange you cant feed the 12v battery from the house charger.

First time using one and wow. Love it. Ordered another immediately for my van and my other work vans.

It won’t cause sparks or start a fire if you put cables on backwards

That model I bought can jump 7 or 8 cars on one charge.
