There are some great chip sets here.
Question? It seems to me from my short time in this forum that the TRK guys are hardcore TRK guys and the Paulson guys are mainly Paulson guys. Again, to me and generally speaking of course, it almost seems like the TRK/Paulson preference is comparable to; you’re either a Chevy guy or a Ford guy.
Does that seem the case to anyone else? Or am I way off the mark here?

Kidding. What you say is true to some degree, but while I’m a die-hard TRK guy, I do love me some Paulsons. But only some.
I'm mostly a mint casino Paulson THC guy, but also have a healthy appreciation (and sets) of fine mint casino TRKs. Some CPC molds are fantastic too, and BCC also produced some great sets on occasion.
Not a total chip snob, either -- I also own and enjoy several sets of ceramics (PGI, GOCC) and 43mm ceramic hybrids (Sun-Fly).
I generally don't like plastic chips, regardless of cost or manufacturer. They're like pre-production clay models of real cars -- often look spectacular, but always run like crap.
Your Ford/Chevy loyalty comparison is probably more accurate when looking at Paulson lovers vs hardcore fans of ASM/CPC (and better described as BMW/Lexus, since both are upscale brands with lofty prices). The TRK crowd is a much smaller and higher-priced niche market, similar to Mercedes.
Looking at other comparisons, Gemaco clays, ceramic hybrids, and standard ceramics are probably where the Ford/Chevy/Honda/Toyota loyalties lie, and is also the fastest-growing, most affordable, and best value-for-dollar market segment.
China clays are the price-leader Susuki's, and cheap slugged plastics are the Yugos of the chip world.

TRK's are probably my favorite chip. Most of the TRK's that I've handled I have really liked. I can't say that about Paulson's. Now a "minty" pauslon chip is hard to beat. There aren't a ton of "mint" Paulson's available for home purchase (depending on your budget I guess).

I've found that one's opinion of TRKs often depends on which TRKs they've seen/handled in person. The used sets with rounded edges like Jessie Beck's don't excite many chippers, and some of the newer sets like TRK Rounders have a polarized fan base. But if you can get your hands on some of the older leaded minty Reno sets like Mapes, Nevada Lodge, or New China Club, I think you're likely to join the TRK cult. They really are a step above Paulsons, for the most part. However, I think that's mostly because there simply aren't very many elite Paulson sets out there. Most of the Paulsons in circulation pale in comparison to the truly elite old school leaded minty Paulson sets. Just like the truly great TRK sets, there aren't many great old school leaded minty Paulson THC sets.
For the past few years, I've been fairly vocal about being firmly inside the TRK camp, and I've been fortunate enough to put together what is, for my tastes, the best TRK set one could get in playable quantities with the Nevada Lodge chips. I'd never handled a set of Paulsons that was even remotely close until I recently acquired what is, again for my tastes, the best Paulson set one could get in playable quantities with the Lakeshore Inn chips. And now that I have both sets, I honestly can't say which set is better: the Nevada Lodge TRKs or the Lakeshore Inn Paulson THCs. Both are old school leaded chips with shaped inlays and trying to decide which are better is something I haven't yet been able to do. Right now, if you put a gun to my head and forced me to choose, I might give the Lakeshore Inns the ever so slightest advantage, but that might only be because they're still new to me. That or they have yellow 5s! I don't know, but either way, I think when it comes to TRK vs Paulson, it's much more about which TRKs and which Paulsons we're talking about. Both make Fords and Chevys, but both also make Lamborghinis and Ferraris.

I changed my mind on selling these just now. So I might as well post the pictures I took of them.
Trying to finish off a mini "family" set of stamped TRKs. Just picked these up and they have my wife's initials on them. Now I need about 40 fives and ten twenties. Gonna set it up to be a four player $25 buy in set that will fit into a chip carousel.

What is your current breakdown?

Carousel has eight slots of 25 chips I believe. So when all said and done I'd like 50 quarters in two of those slots. The dollars will fill the next four slots. Then a slot of $5 chips and the final slot will be a mix of 15 $5 chips and ten $20 chips.
50 quarters will be enough for 12 per starting stacks for up too four players (48 chips total). Stakes will be .25/.25. Minimum buy in of $25 will get you 12 quarters and 22 singles in a starting stack.
