Since 2010 my favourite chips... so these deserve their own topic

The casino

President Casino Laclede's Landing was a stationary riverboat casino in Saint Louis, Missouri owned by Pinnacle Entertainment.
The casino was part of Pinnacle's two-casino Lumiere Place complex at Lanclede's Landing (although Pinnacle in 2008 was reported to be considering moving it north to the Chain of Rocks Bridge). The President is the current name for the SS Admiral which was the largest inland waterway passenger steamer when the railroad barge transport Albatross (built in 1907) was converted in 1937 to passenger service.

From 1937 to 1993 was used for excursions on the Mississippi and was docked in front of the Gateway Arch. In 1993 President Casinos bought the ship to convert it to be one of the original four riverboat casinos to open in Missouri after riverboat gambling was made legal. When it was converted it was moved north of Eads Bridge. Presidents declared Chapter 11 bankruptcy in 2002.

In 2006 it was acquired by Pinnacle. The 73,500 sq ft (6,830 m2) casino featured 756 slots and twenty table games and was owned and operated by Pinnacle Entertainment. On June 24, 2010 the President Casino closed for good. After an attempt to auction the boat failed, St. Louis Marine decided to scrap the vessel (july 2011) RIP PCA....

They are great cards and became a collectors item for all the PCA-nutters. Only one USED set was sold on eBay (2010) and made a whopping $37,5.

Wow! I absolutely love your thread. I just came across this new chip forum this morning and just starting using tapatalk. So the fact that this is one of the first threads I come across blows me away.

I do have lots to tell and show about these great PCA chips or should I say PCAT (tournament) but my phone is about to die so to be continued...

And 1 (rare) set of plastic PCA cards (NIB), 20 paper decks and 300 PCA roulettes.

Not the biggest set arround but more then enough for 1 table games...it's my VIP package :)

Awesome thread. I am in the same "boat" with my love for these chips. It also happens that I am a serious St. Louis Cardinals fan. I will never sell my chips (edit: at least not the ones listed below). I like to think that I have ONE MINT PCA set as follows:

200 blue quarters
200 $0.50 sec
300 $1 sec
400 $5 sec
216 $25 sec
216 $100 sec
126 $500 pri
~40 $500 sec
90 $1,000 V1 plaques (red stripe)
20 $5,000 V1 plaques (blue stripe)
4 $25,000 V2 plaques (red stripe)
20 black Bounty chips.....someone got busted making these!
10 Lacledes Landing roulette "A" chips (Add-ons)
1 each $1 brass slot tokens
7 $5 brass slot tokens (bounties!!) need 11 more....
1 $25 brass slot token unc
2 silver strikes
Most Db's, but I did sell all of my Matsui plaques
Wish I had a few setups of plastic cards!!

I will post some real Pr0n soon, but lets start with this:

Very nicely documented, with lots of eye candy to boot. Well done!

PCA $1.00 Secondaries in MINT are what got me started down this path. Bought some fracs, ones and fives for a HU set sop I could say I owned some Paulson's. Then the Fitz quarters came on the market, and they went so well with the edge spots on the PCA $1.00 secondary that . . . well, you know.

First high end set I purchased. I grew up in Missouri, so I am fond of all Missouri casino chips.
I have a mint set of secondaries:

100-$.50
300-$1.00
200-$5.00
100-$25.00
12-$100.00
plus extras for every denomination.

I think I would only sell to buy a custom set of MD-50s or the HHR mold.P1010297.jpgP1010916.jpgP1010301.jpg

An awesome thread Thomas. Thank you. I will have to find time to snap some new pr0n. Just to contribute. I will never sell my PCAs, nevaeva.

Hey Pasi, great to hear you again !
Hope all is well and the weight thing is going according plan...

Looking forward to new PCA pr0n :)

Ps. I talked to Fabian this weekend, he will be over here soon

Hiya. Weight thingy is going on like planned. The one huge downswing is that Mrs. Pug is no more. Got divorced
and she moved away last weekend.

I will try to get my hands on a good camera soon and take some new pr0n. The chip amount has gone down from
over 10 000 chipes to 5 000. But my first custom set is under design phase at the moment. Plan is the get them
made at Spring.

Good to hear that Fabian will be joining us again.

Hey buddy, sorry to hear about the divorce.... but I have to ask.... chipcount from 10K to 5K... (did she took half ?)
I presume not, so let me know what chipes you sold...(if the words WSOP are in the aswer I will shoot myself and you will have to take my wife and kids)

meatboy just HAS to join here...

Ps. any word on JM ? (hope he is fine...)

This is a great thread. Love the PCA's . I still want more

I notice you are missing Arc Yellow and Purple, both table C in your roulette section

We should get the numbers from Jim for historical perspective

Hey Ovo, Jim did actually gave those numbers but I lost that info (it was a huuuuuge amount)...will try to find it again.
And thanks for the update on the C-roulettes (can't add any pictures, 20 max)

And yes, PCA is like heroïne...always more ! :)

Thanks. Just have to live through it all. I sold everything else except: PCAs, GCOPs, Grand Cardroom - 2 sets, Hotstamped Desert Palms set.

Aim is to get two sets to replace them.
They are in process, should be done in 2015.

Thanks for the info AD (I searched but could not find it again), I updated the OP....

Sigh... I want to add to my set a bit, but I don't think I'll find anyone willing to sell...

I originally bought a primary set, then discovered I don't really like used Paulsons. The dollars were as thin as coins, it seemed. I put those in the closet and started buying mint chips. Never looked back. Only regret that I didn't get more hundos and a couple 500's...
