President Casino on the Admiral (PCA) (3 Viewers)

Gone are the fracs and PCATS...Probably my most requested set to play with from other players.

That is some pretty pr0n Thomacetti!
The set is amazing and the photos are great at showing us all the fantastic details.
Thanks for sharing!

I originally bought a primary set, then discovered I don't really like used Paulsons. I put those in the closet and started buying mint chips. Never looked back.

Yep, that's exactly my story from owner of one ceramic and one china clay set to having a dedicated chip closet containing 30,000+ chips, mostly mint Paulsons.

First high end set I purchased. I have a mint set of secondaries..... I think I would only sell to buy a custom set of MD-50s....

Same here, on all three counts, and exactly what I planned to do with mine (fund MD-50 customs).

In fact, I've purchased and sold two full 1500+ sets of secondary PCA chips, including Apache quarters, Matsui plaques, and PGI dealer buttons. Just unloaded my last two racks of $1's last week... leaving me with just 840 chips (260x$5, 240x$25, 220x$100, 120x$500). But now I find I'm not so sure about selling after all.... especially after this thread popped up, and reading these sad posts from highly-respected chippers:

That's what I thought...I still miss them. :(
Me too. Easily in the top 5 (probably#2 or #3, tbh) of my chip seller regret list.

Thanks for the heads-up, guys. I think mine may just become a permanent fixture after all.

I bought used PCA's at the beginning of my chip journey. But I quickly realized I hate cleaning chips. So after multiple CT purchases this is what I currently have.

What I need to complete it: Secondary Fracs. Dealers Buttons and some silver coins. More 5's wouldn't hurt. But you greedy bastards don't want to let them go. I don't like the hotstamp quarters so I'm using relabeled rouletes.

Btw the compliments are usually in the way of :
Bad ass chips bro!
These chips are sick.
You paid a lot for these didn't you ?

So hear is a quick taste of what I have been working on... I present to you PRESIDENT CASINO ON THE ADMIRAL ~ Oversized 43mm Tournament Edition

very nice, hoping you would put something together, keep looking for more

Great chips, I regret not pulling the trigger back in the day. Reminds me of the Arubas (same mold, shaped inlays, red denoms, ...) but with more vibrant colors and denoms

BTW i just noticed that the mold for the $1 is different that all the others!

Such beautiful chips. Wish I was around at the time these were sold. I look forward to some future casinos going bust, lol. I think this set has some of the greatest chips I have seen.

Found these on the internet archive.

Jim's personal set:

That was a really nice set- especially the 200 X $100 secondary & 100 X $500 secondary.

Thanks for sharing great thread, were my first set cash Paulson sold them to a known Spanish player in 2014, and not a day that has no regrets.

For fun I tried to buy some secondary $500's for $6/chip......for some reason it didn't work! Damn you guys are fast.

hey I had to try, right?

I have wanted to give this thread a bump for awhile now, for two main reasons really. First, I would like @Thomacetti to fix the "broken" pics in the OP. In addition, it would be cool to add scans of all the tokens and silver strikes that were at the casino too, maybe even club cards (into the OP). Most can be found on the chipguide site http://www.themogh.org/cg_chip2.php?id=MOSLPO. I do have a $25 token though that is not on that site plus every silver strike except the one shown on the site, lol. The $25 token happens to be the only one I have ever seen.....and I look a lot for those tokens. I could scan it and send it to you?? The reason I want this is because I feel that this thread is one of the best threads that documents the details and history of the President Casino on the Admiral. It also clarifies the quantities of all the chips known in existence and is just fun to visit to see everyone's chips. So cool man. Anyway, the second reason is because I am preparing to unload some more pr0n soon and I don't want it to get buried too deep. :) (First reason is better) That said I would like to thank Thomacetti again for even starting this baby. I reference it quite a bit and drool over all of your pr0n. Keep it coming by the way, no reason that this thread should not be the best PCA archive on the internet. Shit, it already is!!!

300 mint secondary $5s
40 mint secondary $25's

Will do so next weekend, remind me should I forget....and thanks :)

Do very good/excellent/near mint PCA Primary $1's exist and are they obtainable or are the majority of the primaries going to be used with very rounded edges? I'm in search of these.

They exist, but are not (at all) easy to come by. The vast majority (of primaries) are in casino used condition.

SLOT TOKENS

@Thomacetti -- Could these be added to OP at some point? I will add the silver strikes soon.... (y)
