Details:
I have been working on a new design that will be first offered by Sun-Fly as a GB (not sure if that is the correct term since they are a vendor) and will later be available on their website as a stock design. The advantage of buying during the initial GB period: discounted price, share in shipping cost, and semi custom labels will be available. Before turning this over to Sun-Fly to start working on prototypes, I want to make sure there is enough interest, so I am trying to get an estimated chip count to determine if this moves forward. This is just an interest thread it does not commit you to making a purchase. Please respond to the poll so I can get a rough idea of the number of chips.

Here are the estimated costs and what will be offered. Nothing is set in stone, these are my best estimates at this time. Prices shown includes shipping to USA and a 15% tariff we may have to pay.
HB001 - 39mm hybrid chip with 25mm label - 64.4¢/chip + shipping from USA (56¢/chip + 15% tariff)
HB001 - 39mm hybrid chip no label - 50.6¢/chip + shipping from USA (44¢/chip + 15% tariff)
HB005 - 43mm hybrid chip 25mm label - 69¢/chip + shipping from USA (60¢/chip + 15% tariff)
HB005 - 43mm hybrid chip no label - 55.2¢/chip + shipping from USA (48¢/chip + 15% tariff)

(Note: For anybody ordering chips without labels, Sun-Fly will create semi-custom labels for you on an individual basis outside of the GB shipping. The estimated cost for this service will be 12¢/label + 5¢ customization fee. So the cost would 29¢/chip + shipping of labels. For customization you can change the denomination and color matched shield. For example: If you are ordering a 43mm tournament set $25 - $5000 but want to use the white/blue chip instead of the pink/black chip for the $5000 chip. You would order chips $25-$1000 with standard labels and order the White/blue chip without a label and you would work with Sun-Fly to have your semi-custom label created. The process will be worked out with Sun-fly when they start the ordering process.)

Sample order and cost - All orders must be in increments of 25
HB005 - 43mm with label - $25 x 100 = $69
HB005 - 43mm with label - $100 x 200 = $138
HB005 - 43mm with label - $500 x 100 = $69
HB005 - 43mm with label - $1000 x100 = $69
HB005 - 43mm with label - white/blue chip x 25 = $13.80
---------------------------------------------------------------
Total 358.80 for the chips + 14.50 for the labels = 373.3 + shipping cost

I created pre-built custom denominations for Sun-fly: 1¢, 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, 50¢, $1, $2, $2.50, $5, $10,$20, $25, $50, $100, $500, $1000, $2000, $2500, $5000, $10,000, $20,000, $25,000, $50,000, $100,000, $250,000, $500,000, $1,000,000, and Bounty - did I miss any?

Plus the three-dot no-denom label, which I assume was inadvertently left off your list.

I just prebuilt labels so you can order blanks and have Sun-Fly create a custom label for you. They will match the shield to the chip you pick. Hope this makes sense.

Thanks, added the RE-BUY option, and yes you are correct I forgot to mention the three-dot no-denom label.
 
These look awesome. I'm definitely interested. It would likely be a cash set but maybe a cash and tourney. I need to get some Sun-Fly samples soon. Also, you're in Harrisburg @p5woody ? I'm in Hershey.

Yea, Hershey isn't far away at all maybe 20 minutes. Once things get back to normal maybe we can play poker together, also maybe split shipping if it makes sense.
 
I put down "other" because I really don't need another set after the great work you did on my customs.

But I think I will pick up a sleeve or two of 39mm blanks if this goes forward.
 
Interest after 2 days and 30 responses: somewhere between 8,500 and 18,500 chips.

Hitting 25k seems easy; 50k maybe a little harder.

Can you explain the Semi-Custom labels a touch more? IE mentioned above about the shield being changed, could the "P" and "Prestige" be swapped to a different letter and a similar letter count?

And the ultimate curveball, shipping to Canada available?

Worst comes to worst, you could probably get a friendly neighbourhood PCFer to reship it to you. A 600-chip set can be put into a Priority International MFRB with preferred rate to Canada for about US$50. The same size set going outside North America would be about $75.

My understanding is they have agreed to change denomination and color match the logo (shield and P) only, for a fee of 5¢/chip. Any additional customization will need to be discussed with Sun-Fly, they should be opening the GB thread under their vendor section soon. If all goes well next week, at that point I will fade into the background and they will take over. Keep in mind everything stated here is my understanding, Sun-Fly will need to confirm everything is correct.

More details on the customization option: The customization shipping options are currently being worked on between the reshipper and Sun-Fly. My original thought for customization was to have people order blanks and have the labels shipped separately, However, International shipping seems to be expensive, even for items like labels. So they are working out the best solution. Stay tuned!

As far as shipping to Canada, yes world wide shipping should be available. I haven't heard of any limitation, other then the cost involved.

Here is what see:
1) 43mm chips they added the color ring to the label instead of the chip (see below).
2) 5¢ chip the shield gray doesn't match the chip, I like the chip color, so will ask to make shield match the chip.
3) 25¢ - tan chip - the label colors don't match, chip should have a little more brown like the label?
4) $5 chip - base red color it to light, Make base color match the red of the shield.
5) Should the label gray gradient be a little darker? interested in what people think

I asked about issue 1 and this was their response:
We did manage to change the ring from the chip to the decal because it is easier to align with the center for bulk production, it might be slightly shifted off from the center and become noticeable if the ring was on the chip which might looked bad. It doesn't matter for the custom works, I guess most of the members would probably need custom labels for denom or logos even, so we don't mind color matching the ring on the label, pricing would be the same +$0.05/chip including color matching, logo changing, denom changing.

Based on this information, I think we should remove the colored ring on the label. Keep the label the same as 39mm, this will also avoid color differences like shown on the tan 25¢ chip.

Thoughts? Anything else before I ask for new prototypes?
