Two Pair
This thread is hilarious. People putting together mixed sets suddenly trying to take some kind of moral high road.
I think this is especially important considering the rarity and expense of fracs. But, I'm curious... Is there a limit? Do at least half of the denoms need to be real?I have no issue with those types of sets having relabeled chips in them, so long as there’s a couple/few different casinos represented.
My thoughts as well.As soon as there is more than one casino (real or not) represented on the lables, it is a mixed set.
If you relable something to match the other chips so you have them all of 1 casino - it is not a mixed set. It is a relabled set.
Very true. But there seems to be a demand for a definition to call out those despicable human beeings that have relables in their mixed sets.My thoughts as well.
But also, who cares if you call a set mixed or not?
What would you call a set that had four denoms with original inlays and two with relabels?

Also, what about repeat casinos, like your $5 and $20 are from the same casino; is that still considered mixed?
Seems like we need some more granular definitions.

It brings new meaning when you say, "that set is hot"Independent Nominally Customized Expanded Set - Themed (I.N.C.E.S.T.)

Oh yes, I'm aware. I'm a repeat offender. You always have to watch what you say around here; there *is* an OOC thread, you know.
That would be a semi-custom relabeled faux-mixed set, but not a true mixed set. Could be considered a faux-mixed set for short, I suppose.you can theoretically build an entire fake mixed set, what makes them a mixed set is the different casino labels, real or not.
Just got this reference lolNAMS
I can’t tell what is going on with these chips. Uniformity is key. If you walked into a casino and they gave you these chips, what would you say? On second thought, don’t answer that.@upNdown don't look a mixed relabel set (dunes to be swapped out for a relabelled IOC hundo)View attachment 598643
I'd probably think to myself that's cool, it's not another RHC set .I can’t tell what is going on with these chips. Uniformity is key. If you walked into a casino and they gave you these chips, what would you say? On second thought, don’t answer that.
Me too!
Okay.Tell me I'm wrong.
This thought first came up last week when a new guy was looking for opinions on his mixed set, and he said that he might relabel this chips and that chip. And then it just came back to me looking at the mixed set pron thread.
Mixed sets exist because people can't find or afford all the denominations from one casino. Some people just like to mix and match to create a good looking set, I guess, and that's fine too. And of course, there are no rules, so yeah, everything is fine when they're your chips. But it just seems to me that relabeling chips to make your mixed set perfect, goes against the entire spirit of the mixed set.
Jesus, can't we have like a statute of limitations on stupid posts? I post some dumbshit two years ago and it has to live on forever? That's the internet for you.Okay.
You're wrong.
