Curious to know other alternatives to removing the leftover adhesive residue after un-labeling relabeled chips.

Yes I've used the search function, what I see suggests mineral oil or non-acetone fingernail polish remover. I've tried both over the last 24 hours. As far as I can tell the mineral oil does nothing what-so-ever after leaving a chip to soak overnight and the non-acetone remover... oh hell no. Some touched the clay for one second and the rag came away with a shocking amount of base color in tow.

Can be as careful as you like with q-tips but when the labels fill the recess it's sitting on a ring of clay....

Anyone have success with something else and/or have any tips to share?

What kind of labels are we talking? Where did they come from? I have removed labels from @Quicksilver-75 on more than one occasion and never had a problem removing any leftover residue (what little there was) with just a dry rub with my fingers and at worst a rag with a touch of mineral oil.

Sorry can't help there as I haven't tried pulling off any of his. Maybe @Gear has some special sauce at work for him & he can weigh in on some possibilities?

I put my chips in a bowl of water and oxy clean for a bit and they came clean with a rag.

Rubbing alcohol works great and no problems with the Clay in my experience.

What I wanna know is how to get the old paper inlays out once you've removed the outer plastic inlay on old Paulson chips.

My tool of choice. Haven't tried really old inlays but worked great on the ones I did.
