So I’ve “finalized” a set after several years of having 604 of the 605 envisioned chips. I figured, especially as I finish business from before my hiatus, I should have a place to post my pr0nography

After snagging the single $1000 NCV Vegas World chip, I can say I’m done: a playable set of “glory days” NV chips. Fell ass backwards into a pattern: hot stamped THCs and inlaid house molds. Some might be offended, but I think it’s neat

Silver Star fracs, Hyatt LT $1s, Sundance $5s, Town Tavern $25s, Tropicana $100s, Dunes $500s, and a Vegas World $1000 NCV. Managed to snag a few decks of Dunes cards too! All minty but the $25s!

Excited to eventually put these puppies into play soon with some classmates from my Gaming Law class

My two complete sets proudly displayed—although I’m not quite sure what I’ll say if a client asks why I have casino chips on my law office book shelf. Luckily, I’m several months away from greeting clients as such and have time to formulate a proper answer (That one of my certificates/concentrations will be in Gaming Law and Compliance should certainly help make it less weird lol)

HUGE update today

If there were a world where historians got paid like lawyers—I might be a historian. That’s why, even when my relabel set is done, I’ll probably be partial to my Old Vegas/NV and PNY sets. Some might off a despot if they could time travel—I’d probably source as many pre-1965 bills as possible and go back to Sinatra at the Sands. The mob, tasteful ladies, and 6 decks/stand on all 17s no matter what. We used to be a country.

Anyway, today’s mail brought some goodies…

First: a rack of uncirculated Dunes $25s. Big ups to @Spinettis Gaming for taking my humble part time law clerk’s paycheck… worth it for these!

Also arriving today thanks to my man @JRald07 were these PNY beauties. Now, I have a playable set of both primaries and secondaries. The secondaries comprise the “big boy” set (bigger bank by $3.5k), but I can’t wait to get it all in play. Shoutout Jason for being one of the most solid chippers around!

Here’s the Dunes finally joining their rightful place! I picked up some stuff from Apache for my relabel set, and I decided to get the Sahara commemorative plaque for shits and giggles. It will probably never see play with that set, but I think it looks nice on the shelf and it got me free shipping

Also below, the updated PNY set. I have a feeling the PNYs will see play most immediately—the other $500 not shown because it’s at home lol

Finally got the table out for a little photo shoot.

Enjoy my PNY set in all its glory. I have a handful of PNY DBs, but in my mind, the Foxwoods fits the theme because PNY would’ve put a big dent in their business. I’m a whore for history anyway lol

This one is a touch sentimental.

My last two years of college, I was very, very sick. To make a terribly long story short, for two years I was bouncing around NYC doctors chasing a suspected tumor or cancerous growth of some kind—my blood work showed something was terribly off, but no MRI machine in the tri-state area could figure out what. Summer after I graduated, my lungs completely failed and I was in the ICU for two weeks. (Turned out I was smoking fake vape pods that were slowly paralyzing my lungs).

I was on my ass for a good six months after, and on my first day home I stumbled upon the WPT Samsung streaming channel. I never watched that platform, but I was on heavy happy meds (on account of not being out of the woods yet), so I guess I just kept pressing next channel not realizing I wasn’t on cable . My TV was on that WPT channel for months straight, usually watching the early seasons they’d stream.

When @SemiNumerical put these up for sale, I recognized them right away. Knew I had to buy them, however thin the chipping budget atm. Look forward to getting these puppies felted! My “Alive” set…

I present, a little more fleshed out, the comprehensive “Television Set”. Every component of this set (which doesn’t include the RW chips peeking out) was either featured or made to be featured on television.

If I can get my hands on some real WPT buttons, I will refocus it back there, but for now—I get to put my 2021 WSOP stuff to good use too!

I am exceedingly proud to introduce the Prototype 1.0 of the Counsel’s Club DB. Re-labeled 50mm Paulson DB (or, more properly, two of them).

@mattross1313 originally did some badass design work based on my first vision for the button. He is the GOAT and I owe him some fat steaks when he’s in NY. But a few nights ago, I admired my sets as I left my office and my eye caught my Palms DB. All of a sudden, I realized I wanted to shift gears slightly. I hopped on stickermule’s design tool to see if it would work, and it was easy and relatively cheap to order samples so I did. VERY excited for the proper @Gear versions to arrive next month…

P.S.—If you’re an attorney practicing in NY, don’t judge the two stylistic errors on the quote side. I was worried about printing and legibility lol

This is currently the only sample in existence while @Nanook does his magic on the rest. I am beyond happy with how these turned out--shoutout @Gear for the labels and @mattross1313 on the design work. These came out better than even I imagined! Can't wait to get the whole set ready to felt!

Unfortunately, not outside a Halloween context lol. I'm fascinated by the various commonwealth countries' court dress... Closest we come in the United States is the morning coat worn by the Solicitor General (or a deputy), and only when arguing before the Supreme Court. No American equivalent to "taking silk".
