For some reason I get notifications about new posts in other threads, but not this one. (???)

You should get a notification when any post is made in your forum now. You were probably subscribed to the other threads that you were receiving notification for.
You can check your thread subscriptions here: Settings -> My Subscriptions

BTW, did you get my PM?

Thanks Tommy! I got a notification for your post, so it's working as expected now. (I thought I had manually added a subscription for this thread previously, but maybe I hadn't?)

Also got your PM (and replied.)

Thanks again :)

Hey Chris! Hope you're well... Sent you a PM a few days ago... Just let me know once you have time... Paulo-

Hey Gear, any chance of being able to do something like this?

Oops! Sorry, replying to it now.

Did you receive those PGI 8V's I sent you?

Not yet, not exactly. I think they have arrived at my US package-receiving service but I haven't had a chance to pick them up yet. (It came as lettermail so I can't really tell what it is.)

Hmm, I don't have any clear media but I could probably get some. I can print metallic colors but not as "foil" looking as that. What kind of chip would you put that on?

I'm toying around with a couple of ideas for a future tournament set and roulette set. Hot stamped CPCs would be the nuts for the roulette, but some of these labels on solid China Clays may be a much more practical route.

Picked 'em up yesterday. They are perfect as samples - I will measure them up, thanks!

Unfortunately (in a way) I am going to be out of town for two weeks leaving Saturday, but I will be happy to tackle a label project for you when I return at the beginning of February. (I will have some access to email and PMs while I'm away, so feel free to contact me.)

I got some BCC MGK blank samples (thanks Dave!) and will be testing 2 mil vinyl on them very soon. Stay tuned.

I'm interested in that clear label metallic foil print too. That Kahuna Club is mine and I might like some more. With Chipshippe out of commission for a while, a second source would be nice.

Just got my labels from Gear - looking great! Very happy with the results. He was very helpful and easy to work with also. Now to find time to apply the rest. [emoji6]

Hmm, apparently I do not have permission (?) to upload photos here. Will put up some pron somewhere when I get them all done.

You do. If you are using TapaTalk it sometimes gets buggy. Have to close the app out completely and re-open it

From a response Gear sent me a while back. For what it's worth, I *may* have between 600-800 MGK blanks coming available soon for those that might want them. Should know by this weekend. Keep your eyes trained on the Classifieds.

Gear said:
Pretty well. The 2-mil unlaminated vinyl fits in the shallow inlay on the BCC MGKs. The drawback (imo) is that they are glossy. I'm not a big fan of glossy labels, and generally prefer matte or lamination of some kind. But, I don't think there's many other alternatives if you need to label BCC MGKs.

Hope that helps.

Thank you Psypher! Sorry everyone, I thought I had returned to this thread to post those results.

FYI I have used the chips labeled by Gear in five or six 5 hr sessions. They look as good as the day applied. A+ Product.

I know I posted this somewhere else, but it seems more appropriate to post it here.

Chris did some label work for me and they turned out spectacularly. I bought a set of GCOPs and it came with 20 T5s, so I decided that it would make more sense to turn them into T500ks. J5 sent the art off to Chris and here's how they came out:

Now I have denominations all the way from T25 to T500,000.

Bottom line: choose Gear for your label needs. You won't be sorry.

I want to add my accolades for Gear Labels. Chris is a great person to deal with. He's patient and will try to help get you the best product for your particular project.
I urged Chris to print on 2 mil labels as I was going to label a chipset with a very shallow recess (the MGK's). Chris did a trial run and the labels would have worked. But then I decided to sell the MGK's (buyers remorse already) and replace them with slightly used casino Paulsons. I had the 2 mil labels printed for these also because I KNOW the Paulson chips will wear much quicker than the BCC's I had. I didn't want the label being the thickest point on the chips after they get used. It may take time, but now I'm prepared for the future as my new labels sit securely down into the recesses of the chips. Instead of clogging up this thread with pics, you can see my chips here:

Don't forget that Chris can print labels for many other uses too, such as making your dealer buttons custom. (check out my link).

Thanks Again to Chris. I highly recommend Gear Labels!

just paypaled for some samples - can't wait to check these out.

got these a couple days ago, but didn't have time to really take a look until last night and they really look fantastic. easily my favorite is the glossy vinyl, matte laminate. will probably run samples on both those and the glossy/unlaminated when i make my final decisions after checking out the new Apache blanks in person. trying to keep costs down since they're sort of a gift (sort of in the sense that the guy can keep them as long as the game goes then i'm taking the suckers back).

great to know the quality is there, though, because when i finally get ahold on enough BJ S2s to relabel a cash set, i'm definitely going with metallic ink printing and laminated labels.

I'll cast another strong vote for ^this^ particular offering. Works and looks great on mint Paulson chips (well, at least on mine). Gear does fantastic work.
