That's why I'm snagging the Castle chips. lmao :D Embarrassing, but I got to have them.

Not embarrassing. I had a full set of these at one point and they were really nice. They were my favorite chipco set for a long time. It was hard to sell them.
I could probably go find out who I sold them to if you wanted to make them an offer:)

Actually, I wouldn't mind that at all, I would love a set of those.

It's not the chips that's a little embarrassing, it's the room itself. :) It was a tiny little table games casino in a random place off Evergreen Way in Everett, we played 2-4 limit 99% of the time and the area was really starting to get hit hard with the oxy zombie epidemic so you would end up sitting next to some really interesting people. It was before poker rooms went non smoking so my memories of the place are smoke filled and some real piece of shits that would play there. It wasn't all bad though, one of the dealers there was very nice (and used to run the Angels of the Wind room before they shut it down), and it was when everyone liked playing poker so money could be made if you had only the slightest clue of pot odds. I remember being able to make $4 river bets into a pot that had multiple callers on all other streets, get two to fold and hear at least one of them lament the fact they would have beat me at show down if they would have called. Folding the winner for $4 probably getting better than 6 or 7 to 1....ahhh, the good old days when a bad player like myself could prey on worse players. ;)

But yeah, I definitely might be interested in acquiring a set of these, I would love the nostalgia.

I checked and I didn't sell them here or on chiptalk. It was an eBay sale. I do still have his name and email.
It was back in 2011. Should I send you his contact number or is this bad form?

I honestly have no idea, but not being a member of either board makes it tricky. I appreciate the effort, but I think them not being a member makes it difficult for a third party to reach out to them. Out of curiosity do you remember the breakdown or approximate cost/chip? I actually haven't seen any sets of these out there, now I'm curious if it's possible to get one. :D

It was 576 and I sold them for $199. I don't remember the breakdown exactly but it was very good I think. Something like 176/300/80/20 $1/$5/$25/$100.
This is the only set I have ever seen anywhere.
I sent the guy an email to see if he'd be willing to sell them.

I think his embarrassment is more connected with "The Castle" itself, rather than the chips, that place was... well... interesting at best lol

edit: just saw your response, haha. Ya, I figured as much :)

The Castle! good times, good times

There are still a few sets left. Presidents, Grand Vics, Terribles, Grand Centrals and more....
I also found another 3 set sample of Aruba Americana CIC's. 2 silver and one brass.

Half price for anyone that has already bought another set.

I am going to go with $4 for shipping. I will be sending out PMs with my paypal info.
Thanks.

Do you still have the Jimmy G's? I would take them for a friend of mine.

Sorry, wish I could. I just spent an hour at the post office dealing with a real ass behind the counter.
And now I'm not sure I can mail a few chips in a normal envelope. Its just not worth it for just a couple of bucks.
Sorry.

Sorry.

If you can hold them for me, I can add some of your other sample sets. Would that make it worth your while?

You can have 1/2 off anything that's left. I guess $10 and I can mail for $4 in a padded envelope.
