Check eBay. They are selling for $10 a piece. :
That's probably a PT Barnum situation.Check eBay. They are selling for $10 a piece. :
They have sold for $10 a piece in recent timesSelling for $10 or listed for $10? Big difference.
Welcome to PCF
I'd agree. The chips appear to be a consumer-grade RTPlastics design, mass-produceable and really not worth all that much - for the chips themselves, at least. For a set of 500 consumer grade RTPlastics chips I wouldn't pay more than $35, personally. It looks like they might have come with a custom case or tray which, if so, ups the value of the lot somewhat, but the chips themselves are nothing particularly special, IMO. Nice-looking, sure, and certainly an upgrade over dice chips, but not particularly valuable or in demand.I'm going to guess you overpaid if you spent more than $100.
^^ That's about right. Those are relatively new commemorative chips, not something old or was used in the actual casino. They are common and inexpensive plastic injection-molded chips with adhesive stickers, and typically sell for 15c per chip or so.Welcome to PCF. Just by the look of it, I'm going to guess you overpaid if you spent more than $100.
Big difference between asking price and selling price. That same seller is listing plastic injection-molded Dunes commemorative chips for $5 each -- you can buy those new for a quarter.Check eBay. They are selling for $10 a piece. :
I'll sell you as many as you want for just $5 each, and you can resell 'em on eBay for a 100% profit. Not nearly as large as my profit margin will be, however..... since I'm getting them for pennies. They have sold for $10 a piece in recent times
I bet you don't have a single one. Show me a picture with today's date. I have the ONLY SET in eBay for sale. In U.K. a set of 100x $1s are selling for $530 Euros. You're just Jelly^^ That's about right. Those are relatively new commemorative chips, not something old or was used in the actual casino. Selling for $10 or listed for $10? Big difference.
Everyone beat me to it--we're not trying to be cruel or dash your hopes of riches, but you did ask for an idea of value, and while none of us are experts, many of us have seen enough to know what we're talking about. Unfortunately, these aren't worth all that much. That's probably a PT Barnum situation.

Well, that's his BIN price. Then you're a fool for not listing them at $7000.
I'm not sure "jealous" is the right word/phrase. I think you were looking for "not a sucker."I bet you don't have a single one. Show me a picture with today's date. I have the ONLY SET in eBay for sale. In U.K. a set of 100x $1s are selling for $530 Euros. You're just Jelly

Check your manners, guy. You came to a forum where people like to play with high end poker chips, and asked for an appraisal. You got good honest answers, and instead of a "thanks for your time" you question us and call us jealous?I bet you don't have a single one. Show me a picture with today's date. Jelly...is the right word. My plastic chips are more valuable than your used Paulsons..
I can't. Except to say, as previously mentioned, PT Barnum was right.I have the ONLY 700 Poker Set available in eBay. The only one. If any of you "experts" have a similar set. Post a picture of it right now. If the chips have little or no value....why are they selling on eBay for $10 a piece???? Why are they being sold for as much at $300 in souvenir packs or $10 for a single chip??
explain that to me..expert
Okay, troll. **crying with laughter**Jelly...is the right word. My plastic chips are more valuable than your used Paulsons..

Go find a forum for people who pay $10 a piece for cheap plastic commemorative singles, and ask them what your chips are worth.
You are correct he is not an owner but I am a moderator and just trying to understand what you are trying to accomplish. No need in doing this as a new member and insulting people that were trying to helpGood honest answers is a travesty in every sense of the word. And you do not own this forumas far as I know.

Sorry, but none of us experts collect cheap plastic chips. But I'll have some made - with authentic @Gear labels - if you want to buy some more. $5/chip offer still stands. If any of you "experts" have a similar set. Post a picture of it right now.
