Should I add a second table to my cash game? (2 Viewers)

I want to see that soda machine closed.

Bubble Hockey!! So cool! Although I think your snack table is creating a fire hazard :)

Great setup, glad to hear the game went well.
It’s not as bad as it looks haha! That thought did cross my mind and decided for a temporary evening that it would be fine (it’s just a folding plastic table if needed to be moved in an emergency).

One more question for the group regarding chip inventory for a larger game….
I thought I would have enough chips to cover two tables and technically have enough in the bank to handle rebuys and add ons, but found myself short on smaller denominations for the starting stack.

My current setup:
.5 x 100
.25 x 200
$1 x 175
$5 x 50

My $20 starting stack has been inspired by @Chris Manzoni with a breakdown of 10/18/15 (.5/.25/$1).

Once I get beyond 10 players, I am short on nickels and beyond 11, I am short on quarters and dollars to handle that starting stack.

Would you recommend buying more
chips to accommodate starting stacks and bigger games
or
using $5 chips as part or all of the starting stack for some players (they would need to make change on the table immediately)
Or something else???

Yeah, this is a good starting stack, but you do have to figure one starting stack per player. So once you go beyond 10 players you will exhaust the nickels and most of the quarters and there won't be anything else for the 11th buy in and beyond.

So bottom line, I would double it all to accommodate 20 players at these stakes.

You do need one STARTING stack per player. It's okay if REBUY stacks are just high value chips since presumably a starting stack went on this table already so there should be enough change around as needed.

Agreed with this. More nickels will make cashing out more difficult. I would suggest rebuys in $1s or $5s and players can make change at the table for nickels or quarters.

Thank you all! I definitely have enough for rebuys and have placed an order with Apache to get some more nickels, quarters, and dollars to cover everyone’s starting stacks.

I round everyone down to the nearest dollar at cash-out and then play an open hand for the remaining change. It’s a fun way to end the night and someone ends up with an extra buck or two.
