I was MIA for 7 years.
I went off the grid just as it was rumored the Arodie chip mold was going to be available (getting into that would have killed me).
I have see some pRon here of chips I could not have imagined would happen after that.
So catch me up with 'in your face' pRon of what I missed for customs 2012-2019 (with explanations please).
--not just generally available customs-- those showing new molds and spots (and mfg's?) since 2012 :watching: :nailbite: that I missed!

One cool thing that's happened is that CPC started using the old TRK Scrown and Lcrown molds. This has of course resulted in some new cool custom sets, like one of my favorite sets, @Chippy McChiperson Nirvana lounge cash set

forgive me :CPC?
btw these look totally TRK :cool:jawdrop:--- made with same mix? (i thought dennis took that off the map)

custom home pauslons made (not 3rd party) ? all spots / all colors / no bullshit?
i am going to hemorrhage

There have been a few groups/people that managed to get around GPI’s rules of not selling Paulson chips except to casinos.

It is a hot topic around here to say the least. Search BOAT chips for some background.

ASM was purchased and is now CPC or Classic Poker Chips. They have the large crown and small crown molds, but not the TRK colors or recipes. Those, I’m afraid, are gone forever.
ok asm is now cpc / all caught up,
but i thought blue chip bought the TRK molds + colors (not recipes) (i have bluechip MGK blanks made in TRK colors to prove it)

Blue Chip was bought by Paulson/GPI, and vanished. Probably in a move to get rid of competition.

i guess thse are these made with ASM hard/brass mix and not TRK's ? but the pics look so lead/waxy

CPC made available the 44mm oversized A-mold. @chipjoker ’s Music Shack set was the set that was used for prototyping the oversized A mold.
:confused CPC introduced the 44mm?
heh, i was the 44mm proto type for ASM :

awesome... well they forgot how to do them... and didn’t offer them for a while. Then CPC “reintroduced” them...
there were some problems.
The 1st release was made too thin (not the 1st time for ASM) and the chips would shear (edges would tear off during use).
Not a big deal until you made a follow up set to supplement for your 1st set ---now the chips are a different thickness and do not stack together.
Sigh, been there 2x. Why not just make them thick to begin with? I never figured that out. How much could the chip batter cost?
I had this happen with 2 sets. The 44mm and then the (left blank i forget the mold name -- to follow later)

it just came back to me that dennis never sold the molds to anyone when closing shop
and those were supposed to be retired forever...seemed fitting and respectful.
just all the basic chip equipment went to BCC (but no molds or chip recipes),
so how did CPC acquire the molds?

what happened to the chip recipes? CPC might benefit from a more vibrant yellow/canary.
