Well well... Not running so good thus far:
  • AQ OTB vs SB who flats with KK, board runs Q high.
  • Top two on a Q87Thh turn OTB, EP bets, I raise, same SB cold 3b huge, I tank fold.
  • KQdd on 7645ccdd board, same V bets small, I raise, he shoves for 2x pot. My mistake, after the last couple of hands I should have flatted.
  • Pulled a couple small pots in between.
In for $400, sitting on about $200:

Also of note, my cardroom changed their cards since the last time I was here, and they seem to be consistently hated by both dealers and players.

And that card's brand? Faded Spade.
I had to look it up. They are like anime cards.

Haven't played in a few weeks due to getting absolutely wrecked by some dude during the series. By the end of the weekend he had stacked me for around $7.5k in 4 major pots. The largest were when I had KK vs his AA and the other he made quads vs. my boat. The other two the money went in on the flop whole I was ahead and he sucked out. Thankfully the actual damage was overall down $500 for the weekend. However I wasn't in a good state of mind.

Started tonight a bit slow, but feeling it again after stacking some dude when I flop aces up with A6ss vs. his big A. Felt good as this was a guy who once called a $500 4-bet vs. my AK with $300 behind with that exact hand.

I straddle button to ten, 1 limp, UTG raises to 30, 3 callers to me, I make it $225 with :qs::qc:, get 2 callers.

Flop $747 :9d::4d::3s:
UTG leads for $450, caller has like $400 is all in, I jam for 1.3k effective, UTG tanks and tanks and finally calls.

Turn $3747 :jh:
River $3747 :2c:

They both say A high and UTG flashes an :as: as he's folding.

My friend wanted to check out the Columbus casino so we drove 4 hours round trip for 5 hours of play. Thankfully he drove so I could get a little rest on the ride home. Booked a $400 win. I was card dead most of the night but the few decent flops I caught I was able to make money with.

Dumb question this pic made me think. Had you gone all-in on this hand, would the $25-ish in the cup holder have counted?

I know the whole "chips stay on the table" bit but what would be the ruling here?

Without a doubt never. Must be on the felt to be in play.

When I switched from the 1/3 to the 2/5 I had $731 in chips. So I bought $300 more and had to put $31 "away" as it would put me over the 1k max. Usually I just use them to top up, but never needed them yesterday.

Another losing session last night to continue the downswing. After a pretty decent 2019, I've lost about 12 BI over my last five sessions and erased my profit since March. Most of that was in two sessions: 1/2 session that was really short stacked 2/5 with a drunk whale raising 25-35 pre each hand, and a 1/2 home game where the worst player at the table was running like God and took most of it out if my hide.

It feels like mostly runbad with some definite playbad mixed in, but times like this make me wonder if I'm grossly underestimating the portion of my losses due to poor decision making. That's what we all do, right?

Anyway, I've got some study planned between now and SQM, and I'm also going to post a few hands from last night for feedback.
