I haven't heard good things from dealers who left Derby Lane to work at the Hard Rock.
I don't play there because no PLO cash games run
I have 2 friends who currently work there. Apparently the lady who used to be in charge was a giant C word. She is no longer in charge of the Derby Lane room. I enjoy the lax atmosphere compared to the corporate casino environment. My move will not be happening though as I have been offered a full time (with benefits) opportunity in table games by my current casino here in Columbus. It will hold me over until they reopen poker which should be soon I hope. There is a meeting with governor next. I enjoyed the games at Tampa Hard Rock. I also played $2/5NL at Orange City. The action there was really good as well.
Pam, yes, heard many unfavorable things. My first time there I played a tournament and they have these super ugly table felts and terrible Walmart style plastic chips
I posted about the chips on Twitter or Facebook, something like "Walmart called, they want their chips back" and tagged the room. She tracked me down while I was playing to confront me about the post and tried defending them as quality chips
Here are their chips and felt
Those are probably slugged, right? Heavy?
The felts are super ugly for sure. I've dealt poker for 13 years, and that's the first thing I noticed when I walked into their room. Those chips aren't too bad. Those are what they use at Orange City, and Daytona. Definitely cheap though. I think DL uses ceramics for cash games though. Those are my favorite to deal with

Heyas. Bought in for 20 in our local cash game & ended up cashing out for 259. I was happy
