Started an hour ago with 10k

Finished 21st out of 4250 entries in this event 2 yrs ago.

Off to a fast start.
If you're gonna have to make the trek up 75 another time, might as well have a fat stack! Grats on bagging. And did they really have 4000 entries!!!!?!

They really did... it’s their biggest stop I think.

Nice!! Good luck bro.... triple up and then hit the gas

The following story is 100% true.

125-130 players left, payout at 952. Payout for 99 players is 1071 so goes up pretty slow. Hero ready to make his moves, plus will make it home in time for dinner if busted at this moment. Hero has just joined the table and has 34bb with 170k stack, just under 200k average. Villain has monster stack with 800k. Ante 1000, Blinds 2500/5000.

Hand 1:
Hero has A7dd in CO. Folds around to V in HJ who raises to 18000. Hero calls. Folds around to button who flat calls.
Flop 10 5 4 two clubs. BB checks, V leads off 18000. Hero senses weakness and bumps it to 55k. BB folds. V raises to 300k (hero easily all-in if calls). Hero knows he will regret this, convinced V doesn't have a hand, calls the all-in and flips over Ace high. V flips over J8 clubs...hero is ahead! Crowd goes wild. No clubs on turn and river and hero has doubled up to a great stack. Many complements to Hero

Hand 2:
Very next hand. Hero now at 360k sees 78ss in HJ. Folds around to V, still a huge stack at 600k makes it 17000 this time. Hero calls. Folds to BB who calls.
Flop 775cc. BB checks. V leads off 18000. Hero makes it 55000. BB folds, V 3-bets to 125000. Hero all-in 360k, V flat calls and flips over pocket 5s. The turn and river are no help to Hero, who goes home 124th w $952. Dinner was great.

@mike32

I enjoy the set a lot.
I can't say I enjoyed those chips very much on this particular night. Despite the lighter weight of older BCC's I do really dig these chips. I'm sure there are other people who have VLV BCC chips, but I never see them. I bought most of them for a song when Apache was closing them out via eBay, I want to say my average cost was like 20 cents per! The girl on the chip must be a red-headed stepchild.

every time I play with them I offer to buy them :).

First live outing for me since the Alamo and my surgery. Enjoyed a great night of .25/.50 with @sharpcr and his crew who invited me to their game. In for $100 out for $262. Good game & hospitality with a great group of players. Very impressed with his refelted Barrington table, it played great.

Out for $258. All and all a fun night with friends and about 4 hours of great poker. Everyone loved the new SSC I replaced the original felt with on the ole cheapo barrington table. Was a very good investment.
