Thanks for the color confirmations everyone -- it's a funny (sad) story, originally I made some labels destined for Argosy 50c chips, and without a sample I guessed that they were Almond. Nope, too light, I guess they're really Mustard. This time around, I said Aha! Sorry eyes, you can't fool me, that Tropicana chip is darker than it looks! Mustard, here we come.
Except this time it really is Almond. Dang it.
One of the problems with color matching is that there are often small differences among various runs of the same chip. Handling and exposure to light can also cause a color to change from its original state. Best to work with one of the specific chips to be matched.
