Sports Trash Talk (6 Viewers)

If you take recent history (anything from last 5 to last 20 years), ownership, etc. in to account, I think that the Raiders are by far and away the absolute worst franchise to be a die hard fan of.

Clippers, Browns, Washington Redskins/Commanders, Indians, etc. I don't think it's remotely even close. I remember how it used to just be futility, and every season was hard but you'd sit there next to Browns fans and lament together over who had it worse.

It went from jokingly bad to a down right horrid, nightmare of an experience. I'm not being facetious or over the top, I'm honestly slightly surprised that a deranged or mentally unwell fan hasn't attempted to end Mark Davis' life. I know it doesn't have the same level of shock, but I'd prefer Jim Irsay's move of the Colts in the middle of the night from Baltimore to Indy 10 times over compared to Mark Davis deep, slow, continued twisting of the knife.

There's franchises that perform poorly or are dysfunctional. Then there's the Raiders - continually making conscientious decisions that ignore all history, tradition, values, and everything else in exchange for wealth. Mark Davis is 68 years old, increasing net worth by 1 or 100 or 1000 million dollars shouldn't matter over family's legacy.

It's like a horrid Greek tragedy story comedy or Shakespearian level betrayal, taking something as beautiful as competition found in sport and destroying it piece by piece.

Screw sports ownership in general and Mark Davis specifically. Raiders suck, dead to me, fricken corpse of a team and community.
A’s fan checking in.

WTF are the Dodgers thinking?!? I know I'm a lifetime Giants fan but everyone knows Kershaw SUCKS in the Postseason. GO DBACKS!!!
I was so confused by this post then realized oh yeah October, it’s postseason.

Man baseball is pretty far down there for casual fans. So many games and post season starts right as NFL season hits its stride. Time to cut down the season by 80ish games.

Checking in for what? As a joke?

I don't follow baseball as closely as NBA/NFL so maybe I don't know something...did they just have something horrid happen?

One of the most successful teams in MLB history, made postseason 50% of the last decade, wins 50% of their games.

Hey I'm not one to say that your emotions aren't valid. If you feel them, that's all that matters, they're valid.

But I'd be surprised to see A's fans crack the top 40 list of heart-wrenching professional sports teams to follow.

With the current Playoff system I totally agree they should shorten the season. Too many teams qualify for Postseason now making the regular season almost as useless as the NBA. But they won't because they're greedy.

While they have had success in the past, have you ever seen the movie major league? The one where the owner never invests in the team, trades all the good players away, treats the fans like crap, refuses to put a good product on the field? That’s the A’s. It’s criminal what he’s done with the team, this year especially. Making the playoffs with a bunch of bargain bin players and young guys on cheap contracts, only to get knocked out in the first round is not what fans want. This has been the motto for nearly 20 years.

Like I said, I feel for you and your feelings are real. Fanaticism around a shitty team is difficult for sure.

But unmmm….the guy is cheap? And the team reg outplayed expectations but are always undertooled?

For sure, sucks. But again being honest it’s like listening to someone’s bad beat story where someone hit a 4 outer on the river on em.

I mean threatening on repeat to move the team is not cool too.

No need for me to compare, lol I’ll attempt “Maturity”. Maybe as sports fans we can just come commiserate over our teams’ failings. They don’t have to be the same to understand each other.

From Boston it looks to me like Texas Rangers want a piece of those Houston Assholes. To me they are taking no prisoners on the way to the title. Wager Accordingly

Only thing worse than this decision to go for it on fourth down, was the terrible No chance play he called. Stupidity at its finest. Must have watched that genius at Miami Fla last week

Washington and Oregon hate each other, probably as much as Michigan and Ohio State. This beating will last all year… tacked onto the beating from last year.
