Damn! Damn! Damn! That deserves 3 damns.

Did you ever take a pic of the whole set before releasing them to the wild?

I told the shipping company to bring the pallet on a straight box truck to deliver to my garage. Needless to say they didn't and put it on a semi. I had to meet them at the interstate and load the whole pallet into the SUV I had for the day. Lets just say I think I about snapped the springs because of the weight. Lol

Yeah, 1000 lbs in the back will do that. Damn.

Still would have been worth it even if you did (y)

Thanks for releasing those numbers noblecountydanny.

Can you also share how you were able to acquire the cache? It's great that you were able to offer these to the poker chip set community but it sounds like @TheChipRoom needs to jump through more and more hoops to get any chip cache these days, let alone paulsons. I'm curious if the state gaming commission was involved?

It was a canadian casino and they sold them back to the original gaming distributor and closed their doors. I bought them from the distributor, who was also in Canada. So everything had to go through US customs. Jim buys sets from the actual casino, which is a whole different legal issue. They have to get state gaming commission permission. I have bought several big sets over the years but I don't have the patience for the long drawn out issues Jim has to deal with to get a set.

Thanks Dan, very interesting. I'm sure you had to sweat that US custom stage. Have you had any failed attempts? Now I'm wondering if there were any chip sets out there that could've been...

Best of luck with your search for Wynn T25s, a really cool set.

Does anyone know why there are two versions of the T100 within the same casino? Is it for differentiating between two tournies running simultaneously?

They initially ordered only the pink T100s only to recognize - duh - they don't work so well with a pink T500 on the table at the same time. So they reordered the T100s in dark blue.

Very cool to know whats out there.

So you bought everything? Or were there a couple of buyers of bulk lots?

Barely 1800 $25 chips...what the everloving...? I knew they were limited by comparison to the $1's/$5's, but dayum. That just screams weird to me.

Interesting that they didn't hit 50k but still had a house mold.

49k is just what was there when the place closed. Who knows how many chips were damaged, lost, destroyed, etc. over the course of the casino's time operating. Also, who knows how many went home with folks as souvenirs.

As someone who found out what paulsons were only because of this forum, i am increasingly disheartened every time i see i couldve gotten these before lol. Oh well!

How much do these chips generally go for? Or do people just not depart with them lol. I know i wouldn't, these have been my favorite set since i first saw them.

I bought $5s from straightpokersupplies last year. Not sure how they got them or if they had other denominations at some point.

You probably don't want to know.

The SPMs are just coming off their market peak (in my opinion). The original buyer of the set (the OP of this thread) unleashed the mother lode of SPM chips a couple months back. Chippers here went crazy bidding the prices up to complete their sets, with some denoms hitting $13 per chip. No joke. At this point, it's a little too close to the event for people to consider selling. But hang tight, and I wouldn't be surprised if you see some sets hitting the market later this summer/fall at far more reasonable prices. Although SPMs are always in demand, and may fetch a bit of a premium, regardless of the general chip market trends of the time.

For the lower denoms, I think almost the opposite of that is true! These are some of the most reasonably priced Paulsons you will find, given how great of condition they are in! Show me other sets where you can have this good of condition $1 chips at $1.50/ chip or less. Heck, even fantasy chips are more expensive than these casino chips.

I believe they were the distributor NCD was referring to. They had 600 chip sets on eBay briefly. I know, because I saw the ad, left it open for 10 minutes while I figured out a breakdown, then discovered they had pulled the ad when I clicked on buy. Cdn prices and free shipping made it an awesome deal for us up here. I was just too slow.

I sold about half the set just after I first got them at about half the price they are going for now. The demand dried up so I traded for a batch of other sets that same year. Then I mothballed everything until earlier this year. When I got everything out I had about 40K chips to sell. So with the help of HQ we decided on how to get rid of all of the sets. I think they are a great set so I wanted to keep a personal set. I only ended up keeping a 1000 piece tourney set and enough for 20 sample sets of the cash chips. I took some of the cash and bought mapes and dunes. Sets that I also like and want to keep. Its been a struggle to keep my appetite at bay and only keep 10K chips of what I really want to keep.
