So I just commented on his Facebook page under the ad for these. I said
" dude You know you stole this super poker world artwork off of a member on poker chip forum not cool"
He needs to be banned from this site
He hasn't posted since he asked how to get ahold of Tina. I doubt he cares at this point if he gets banned.

Tina making RHC chips is in bad taste, but I don't blame her. Someone (I think from another poker site) requested them, so she'll make what customers ask for. THIS, on the other had is much worse, because many of us have talked to her and asked her not to reproduce other's work. And I've seen it in writing where she said they wouldn't. Those of us who are buying a lot from her, like @justincarothers and @SeanGecko need to ask her about this. We have given them a SH!T TON of business. She needs to know that this is really wrong, and that it will impact whether we continue to use her for additional mountains of business!

I’m not trying to re-rant old rants. But from her perspective, it’s okay to print anything. And we as a community have ordered countless copies of chip designs we don’t own. But now you want to tell her which designs are okay to copy? I just don’t think she’s going to get it and I certainly don’t expect her to care.
I’m in the hobby, so I understand the rationale that you’d never copy another chipper’s design. But even being in the hobby and appreciating the sentiment, I still think it’s pretty thick hypocrisy to copy a casino’s design on Monday but get upset about copying a chipper’s design on Tuesday. So I’m just saying, I hear you, but I don’t think you can hope to get anywhere with her.

But as far as I know, Tina never printed the originals. BRPro produced the Mario line, right @rjdev7 ?
I was thinking the art was grabbed from either proofs or printed pieces and sent to Tina or some other Alibaba vendor.

OK, if that's true then that's a big difference. I saw those when they came out, but was not involved, so I was thinking that they were originally done by Tina. If not, then she's just printing art that someone else sent her, and the ones who sent it to her are the ones who copied it, not her printing something that someone sent her and requested that she not reproduce without approval.

I know you are anti-Tina and anti-cards mold, so you are probably not aware that several of us have had conversations with her about this matter. She has stated in the past that she would not reprint original art previously submitted to her without the creator's approval. But if as stated above, the originals weren't ever submitted to her in the first place, then she hasn't knowingly broken her commitment.

OK, so we just give up? I think I said a lot more than stop or I'll say it again...
I'm just saying that's effectively what Tina would hear. There will be no litigation so there's no threat. My comment was not aimed at anyone's post but at the situation. Unless there's a substantial boycot of Tina's that affects the bottom line the machines will keep on rolling. And honestly, how many consumers will care enough about the theft of rjdev7's design (which itself is kinda a theft, no?) to not order their Cards Mold BTP's or Sunset Beach?

PCF: Don't print my artwork, man! We won't work with you if you do that.

PCF: Ok, now where were we. Oh, right! So we'll take 20,000 Bellagio replicas, 12,500 WSOP replicas, 12,000 Horseshoe replicas, 50,000 RHC molds,...

I get it. This Mario thing is some bush league bullshit (seems to be a theme on here from a certain type of folk), and is a super sucky situation for rjdev, who has brought us some absolutely cool products. But we opened the can of worms. We wanted ours, and don't want others to have theirs. It doesn't work like that.

Good thing. I've never bought copies of other chips then.

Are you equating an active member to a casino brand?

Rules for thee but not for me lol

I get the concept but don’t agree that they are equal situations. One is a corporation litigating and protecting their brand. Good. They have the right to protect their brand. The other is a forum contributor having their work stolen and sold without their consent and they can’t litigate it like the bellagio can.

And why can’t he litigate it like Bellagio? It’s shitty what @JLApoker did but it’s still a bit hypercritical lol

Remember all those music owners who tried suing MadTV? Remember how MadTV lost? No? Oh that’s right. Fair use in parody. Rjdev wasn’t just copying and pasting someone else’s work.

So let me see if I understand this correctly, we are complaining about someone stealing a design that was stolen from someone else’s IP and we are okay with lifting IP from casinos and other large companies because they have lots of money to protect their IP but it’s hard for chippers who stole the original IP to protect their copies

Was the super Mario poker artwork created for this community original or lifted?
