I don’t have the faintest idea. I actually don’t think it’s anything with actual heads and tails.

Usually it’s an NFL specific coin, and has something like AFC/NFC or some nfl related matter on one side. And they just say “this is concsidered heads” “this is considered tails”.

I could also be completely wrong.
