T1 tournament hosting.
What's the most players I can support with these chips for a multi day as many tables as possible tournament?

Qty-
500x T1
600x T5
500x T25
485x T100
215x T500
100x T1k
100x T5k
100x T10k

I also have 100x T50 I don't plan to use that came with part of this set.

Should I get more T100, T500, Or T1K?
Or what's bottleneck?

25 of each setup:
10/13/9/7/4/2
10/8/10/7/4/2

50 T5K starting stacks
250K in play

Color ups:
500x 1s with 1x 500
525x 5s with 5x 500s and 5 extra 25s
480x 25s with 2x 5Ks and 4 500s
350x 100s with 7x 5Ks
210x 500s with 21x 5Ks

Heads-Up, there will be 100x 1Ks and 30x 5Ks. Final level would be around 2500/5000 with BBA or 4000/8000 without. More lower chips would be best currently to support more players simultaneously (you can support 50 currently).

700x 100s with 7x 5Ks
210x 500s with 21x 5Ks

Do you think adding-
100x T100
100x T500
100x T1k would help?

never done a T1 tourney, not sure how the blinds would go, Can't imagine you will need those high denoms for a tourney like that, but I'm not familiar with a T1 tourney

50 stacks of

10/8/6/x

$1 is limiter, can get to 70 players just by adding 2 racks of $1.

And you have plenty of chips to support rebuys

No need for more high denoms

Seems like you'd be making change a lot.

I used this breakdown once and it seemed to go smoothly (from what I recall anyway, it's been a while)

With these chips, I developed a blind structure:

  1. 1/2
  2. 1/3
  3. 2/4
  4. 2/5
  5. 3/6
  6. 4/8
  7. 6/12
  8. 8/16
  9. 10/20
  10. 12/24 (Color Up 1s)
  11. 15/30
  12. 20/40
  13. 25/50
  14. 30/60
  15. 40/80
  16. 50/100
  17. 60/120 (Color Up 5s)
  18. 75/150
  19. 100/200
  20. 125/250
  21. 150/300
  22. 200/400
  23. 250/300 (Color Up 25s)
  24. 300/600
  25. 400/800
  26. 500/1000
  27. 600/1200
  28. 800/1600
  29. 1000/2000
  30. 1200/2400 (Color Up 100s)
  31. 1500/3000
  32. 2000/4000
  33. 2500/5000 (Color Up 500s) *EOT with BBA*
  34. 3K/6K
  35. 4K/8K *EOT without BBA*
  36. 5K/10K
  37. 6K/12K
  38. 8K/16K
  39. 10K/20K
  40. 12K/24K
This could easily be a two day tournament, make the levels long enough and add breaks for three days. Bear in mind the starting stack is 2500BB so early levels have little bearing on the game.

I was thinking maybe something kinda like Sprouty's setup like this-
10/8/10/2 or 10/8/10/2/1 then anybody that comes late gets less hands in but can still play but gets rebuy chip stack 5xT100 or 5xT100+ 1xT500

That would put you with an end around 27 or 29 on my blind structure depending. I thought multiday was a big part of it so I extended it as much as I could. Cut out levels 4, 10, 13, 17, 20, 23, 26, 30, 33, and 36 for a smooth but faster blind structure if you were looking to speed it up.

Multi day would be cool but maybe only 4-6 hrs each day and mix with cash mixed games to keep it exciting.

Yeah I think you basic stack construction for T1 would be either

(T1/T5/T25)
15/17/8 - Up to 35 stacks
10/13/9 - Up to 46 stacks.

T400 starting stacks or 200BB starting at 1-2.

You have plenty of chips above this to accommodate color ups or bigger stacks by adding T25 or T100 chips.

It is unlikely you would use any chips higher than T500 and you have plenty in these denomations and downward to accomodate the 46 stacks. If you are figuring on a T1 base, maybe 50 extra T5 helps you take the 10/13/5 starting stack to a full 50 players.

But I don't think you have any bottlenecks per se.

Edit to add. If you did T400 stacks for a 45 player tournament and assumed everyone entered twice, that's still a total of just T36K in play, so there is no way that you would even use 36 * T1K chips at the end. Just to illustrate why I think you have plenty of each of the denominations that a T1 base would require. You really only have a bottleneck if you think you need more than 45 starting stacks.
