So recently got this poker table by IDS and the felt is loose... Does anyone have experience in fixing issues like this? Can it be done without removing the track and rail? Any help would be awesome. Thanks guys

Probably need to remove rack, rail, and center piece, remove staples, re-stretch fabric and re-staple.

I don't know who IDS is, but I'd call them and give them a piece of my mind for shipping a table out like that.

problem is i cant put a complaint in yet because it say's its still out for delivery. i got this table a week early so i dont know if that means they are sending another or what. but once it say's its delivered i will be putting in a huge complaint and get compensation for the shitty felt job.

Many racetrack tables have the center insert piece bolted in (or sometimes screwed in) separately, to make repairs or changing out felts easy. Look underneath the table for unique bolts, nuts, or screw heads that reside inside the racetrack's inner perimeter. The dealer tray probably just lifts out.

But if the racetrack is being used to help hold the insert in place, all easy bets are off. Near-total disassembly will likely be required.

If it can be easily removed separately, it should be a relatively straight-forward job to remove staples from one side, pull tight, and restaple.

For do-it-yourselfers, this is a prime example of why a light hazing of quality spray adhesive under the felt is a sound construction technique. This condition rarely occurs if it's done properly.

Dunno who IDS is, but they'd be getting an earful from me if they tried to make like that's a standard production example.

It definitely does not feel like it has any adhesive under the felt. the only adhesive i've noticed is under the race track.

Did you get it sorted out? I been looking at that exact table and it looks good for the money. If amazon or Walmart has a Black Friday / cyber Monday deal I’ll probably pick one up?

buy a table from @T_Chan. You get what you pay for. I saved up for about 6 months and I love mine.

The loose felt ended up going away. Soooo weird. But worked out great. Love the table. But next one will definitely be a chanman for sure

The foam probably compressed during shipping and expanded after setting up. My back up table rests on its side all month. I set it up two days before the game and the rail foam, which is compressed, fills out the rail to the point you would never notice.

I made these legs to put on my backup table to keep the rail off the ground when not in use. The knobs make it easy to install and remove the legs without any tools.
