Absolutely trashed play surface, but seller claims its "nearly new".

Also, he's selling because he's won so much gambling that he lost all his friends. A truly sad story, so I'm hoping someone can help this guy out by purchasing his table...

Truth be told, it's not a bad looking table for a refelting job... At least for only $150

He way way speak winning good American err I mean English. That velvet looks terrible. Also how do you sit around a table with huge legs that are so close to the edge of the table?!

How can you not be in. There is no way this isn't mint since the pool table got preference; no brainer!

It actually may be near-new, and just appear to be worn/trashed. Velveteen has a tendency to horribly show every single cross-grain swipe, but properly brushed, it wouldn't surprise me that it's nearly pristine. Of course, even a pristine velveteen surface still sucks as a poker surface imo. :)

You could be right... but given the specificity of some of those circles (obv beverage marks), and what appears to be a shredded far side of the table, I'm a bit suspicious. :)

The seller's lack of description/language skills is also suspect... So good at poker, he lost all his friends, now trying to sell poker supplies to make the world right again... and that he chose to use his pool table to play cards on over this "nearly new" beauty, screams suspect as well. All kinds of suspect in this ad. But who knows, might be a gem. regardless. Even if you re-felted, replaced the legs, etc.. Might be worth $150... Maybe.

That base is a knee-banger for a lot of players. Under-table storage is often tempting, but has downsides.

And I think that looks like a velour cloth.

Velour.

Wow.

I also mentioned new legs above...

I've seen some chip storage drawers that work well, integrated intro the table skirting. There's definitely more distance from lap to rail-top, but I've played on these tables and it's not terribly bad (or noticeable). Granted, that CL ad table's drawer looks like it could be part of a kitchen cabinet... :)
