Tales from the Hitching Post (2 Viewers)

The last Hitching Post cash game for a couple of months while the floors are being replaced.

Finally! Those floors are sh*t, I don't know how you survived with them for so long. o_O

Did you find some distressed wood planks reclaimed from the OK Corral? Anything else just won't do. ;)

LOL.

I think I related this story to some folks at S@P.

In late March we had an "incident". My wife put a plant in a basin sink in our mudroom upstairs (over the bar) to water it. She turned the water on, got distracted, and then we went grocery shopping. We get back to find water pooling in the garage, in the kitchen, and flowing down past the boards and cascading through the can lights over the bar portion of the bar. (Thank God it was where the booze is and not where the chips are.) The gyst of it is the wood floors upstairs are warped and the engineered hardwoods downstairs are peeling or in one spot behind the bar destroyed. Insurance (yay USAA!) came in and is replacing the entire first floors worth of flooring and also the hardwoods in the bar.

I will say the new flooring will fit better with a Hitching Post theme. But I'm not completely nuts! I think.

Auditions for possible S@PIII brewery. Burnt Hickory The Didjits Blood Orange Peel IPA and The Big Shanty Graham Cracker Stout.

A couple of friends have been raving about this brewery to me. It's small and just up the road in Kennesaw.

Curious, what room is your poker room in of the house? Converted something?
Unreal... looks like a small casino. I love it. #jelly
The house has a fully finished basement. When we bought the house the room was already completely in place as a bar and pool room. I just swapped the pool table for a poker table and rolled with it. It was a huge factor in us buying the house.

Did he mention that including the bar area, it runs the full length of the house front-to-back? It's huge. Must be 40' x 20' or bigger. Walk-out access to the full-width patio and in-ground pool in back.

Nicer than most casinos.

One of my wife's friends moved home to Atlanta. Maybe I'll get a chance one day to go to church in Roswell...:) That basement is friggin gorgeous.

Get a visit scheduled and get me dates, I'll scare up a game for you if I'm free.

Insurance claim for water damage. Not only is the bar being replaced but the entire first floor as well.

Not sure if I mentioned it before, but it's a beautiful room, flawed only by the Laettner jersey...

I used to have a regular who is a huge Tarheals fan and notoriously late. Whenever he would run late I would reserve him the spot closest to the Laettner jersey.

But old enough to be stoked after hitting the SF over Quads and raking a monsterpotten... ;)

Happy FD man...
Guinness has nothing on this one. When she comes of age there will be no end to the gross beat downs.

Happy FD to all the PCF dads out there.
