Tell me about these Tunica $1's I just bought (1 Viewer)

I know nothing about these.

Definitely an impulse buy, but these are terrific. I love the textured inlays. I don't have a scale, but they feel heavier than my Cleveland $1's. Just the result of the color? Fairly square edges, lots of crosshatching left. Better condition than I expected.

A few questions:

• What's the base color? I was surprised to find that they're off white.
• Are there many of these out there? I'd be interested in completing a rack or two. If I can't find more, I'll probably try to move them along.
• There appears to be another version of these with a lighter pink edge. Are those older or newer? More or less common?

These chips have been live for a long while, with new orders showing up. Some of them are past bike tires wear. The most recent new chip order was a month ago. I'm working on harvesting a near mint set of chips as you can see from the link posted already, however, if you want me to pick up a rack of two of random assortment the next time I'm there let me know.

From Chris Squire (tobytoby2010) on eBay.

About 15 of mine I'd call good+--somewhat rounded edges, slightly thinner, but still stand on edge. The rest are very good to excellent. Let me know when you're heading over there. Thanks!

Off hand, I don't know. I'd have to sift through some racks to see if there is any of those quantities in there and whatt their condition would be.
