So for the heck of it I searched plastic playing cards at TEMU.com. Up come a ton of PVC/Plastic cards I've never heard of.

https://www.temu.com/search_result.html?search_key=plastic playing cards&search_method=user&refer_page_el_sn=200010&srch_enter_source=top_search_entrance_10032&_x_sessn_id=hak9drnzra&refer_page_name=goods&refer_page_id=10032_1722273770961_ly0ke4ivig&refer_page_sn=10032&is_back=1

Here's an example. These are cellulose acetate for $4/setup. If you look at the joker it looks just like the KEM joker with him picking his nose:

They're selling "Copags" for $4/setup? (if they're fake they probably use better ink!!)

Some of the other cards they stock have nice artwork. Like these:

What gives? Are they all counterfeits from the same Chinese company? Maybe the same company that makes Lot Fancy which are really nice cards.

OK, I'll take a chance and piss away $18 for 5 various setups and report back. They do take Paypal.

I posted in the other "Lot Fancy" thread but I purchased 3 setups so far and they were all as described. I didn't go for brand name knock-offs (e.g. Copag) and a lot of the options for sale had backs that were cheesy IMO but found that for 100% plastic/pvc decks, it's a great deal.

Lot Fancy was $9 for the setup. The others were $7/setup.

Thanks! Do you think they are all identical to Lot Fancy cardstock (thickness, texture) and printing quality? I really like Lot Fancy. They're not stiff, not limp, don't smell or warp and I've seen no early signs of fading. They do everything very well IMHO.

Definitely different stock than Lot Fancy. The Lot Fancy feel the best to me (like how you described).

Classic 5818 decks are the stiffest of the three. Texas Hold 'Em are in between the Lot Fancy and Classic in terms of stiffness. These two feel closer to Faded Spade but still not quite as stiff.

I’ll assume those Kings aren’t the Kings sold in Australia? Because those cards are really good.
You’re right though, that looks like a Kem joker. I’ll assume they’re knockoffs, but I anxiously await your review.
Edit: oh well

I ran a similar search just the other day and noticed that Temu even claimed to have some Angel playing cards. I figure there is a decent chance that they are fake, but the picture sure made them look OK. Plus we know that Angel cards themselves usually aren't very expensive on Amazon.jp... it's always just the shipping that gets you. So in this case if Temu is basically the same price as Amazon.jp but cheaper on the shipping then it very well could be a legit deal. In any event, at like $8.00 per pack I figured it was worth the shot to try a couple of decks. So hopefully I'll be pleasantly surprised in a few weeks and will have good news to report back.

I bet your Angel's are the real deal. Almost all their other cards have very similar artwork to original cards but slightly different names. Like this example of fake fourniers:

I'm guessing the vast majority of the cards are made by this OEM using the same card stock just different graphics. I'll report back after I receive some to inspect.

I have previously bought PokerStars cards and Texas Hold'em cards from there. PokerStars was good but unfortunately TH had some visible marks on the cover so they went to the kids. I bought 6 of them and 4 were usable.

so it's also about luck whether you get good ones or not. now I ordered these (picture) I'll report back here when I get these ordered today. sorry for my bad english :(

Very interesting! That JiaYi Entertainment Products Co., Ltd. also appears to manufacture a whole bunch of the chips available at Amazon & Walmart such as the ever ubiquitous Monte Carlo chips and Dice chips.

And yeah I think you might be right that the Angel cards are going to be legit. As a small and relatively inexpensive item manufactured in Asia it seems like the exact type of thing that Temu would be perfectly capable of shipping over to the US for cheap. I had also tried checking out the poker supplies available on Shein, which is basically the same type of company as Temu, and they had a ton of plastic / PVC cards available as well. Unfortunately they didn't seem to carry many of the 2-deck setups that most of us would be hoping for, so I didn't pull the trigger on any of them.

I am very curious about those "Kings" in the white box that claim to be cellulose acetate so I had picked up a setup of those too. Although now I'm kind of wishing that I had also tried both of those Kem knockoffs that SaleFin pictured above with the AVM & BGC branding. I don't even remember seeing those when I placed my order. Looking forward to all us reporting back on our findings!

I just bought 4 setups of the “Kings”. Will update when I receive them..

Did buy those dodgy copag on AliExpress. Honestly I was surprised. And for for such a small price, it's a luxury to have two new decks everytime we play. It's 10usd well spend. The boys like the fact that new sealed decks are waiting for us when we play. it's a nice feeling. The pocket change that's is being leftover after the night goes in the cards.

Don't put too much faith into the whole $100.00 coupon thing when it comes to Temu. Much like a casino, Temu tries to "gamify" everything by having you click on random things and spin prize wheels in exchange for promised discounts and credits. I believe they do it to encourage interaction with their app/site because these games act almost like a slot machine or roulette wheel by triggering your dopamine receptors. Plus users feel strong encouragement to buy something every single time they browse since it just becomes very easy to get mired in a mindset of "Oh no! If I don't buy something right now I'll be giving up this wonderful $50.00 credit they said I won!" And if you do browse long enough then eventually you'll notice that certain "prizes" or "discounts" or "credits" are really only valid on specific products anyway. And those products often may not be things that you even care about... meaning Temu was just trying to entice you to buy random crap that you don't even really want. LOL!

So my suggestion is don't even worry about Temu's little games and discounts unless you already intended to buy something in particular from them anyway. And at that point if they do happen to offer you some type of extra discount on your order then that's fantastic. But honestly their stuff is typically so inexpensive anyway that who really needs 45% off a $4.00 item right? LOL

The picture side is smooth and the cover is rough. I would say they are rather thick than thin. There have been no errors in these, which is a good thing. In addition, the quality is consistent.

do you think they are legit copags ?

angels on temu fake news LOL

I'm not sure what to tell you buddy. I posted a picture taken directly from Temu's site, and other people like suchj0sh were able to find them as well... so I definitely didn't just imagine buying them. LOL! In fact I got an email a few hours ago saying that my order shipped out, so hopefully I'll have them within a week. Just search for "Angel Playing Cards" (without the quotation marks) and they should be one of the very first results.

Please note, however, that these Angel cards are not the high quality cellulose acetate ones that come as a true "setup" which people on here rave about. So these guys don't have two decks coming together in one package. Instead these are sold as individual decks of the regular plain old plastic cards by Angel.
