Sorry I have no idea what is going on with him. I messaged him twice to let him know about this on FB. never replied to my messages and he always replies to my fb messages. Very odd

Thanks @spikeithard but it's not your fault. I'll take your word @Stadium.Mikeadium is a stand up guy. Thing is I sent my payment back on Sept 2nd. I would expect chips to be here by now. I understand things come up but it only takes a minute to pop on here and message folks.

this would piss me off, esp if you have not had any PM back and forth as to what the hell is going on

Hopefully there is an explanation

Yeah we will see. I'm def not too happy about this transaction at the moment. Still willing to give him the benefit of what I don't know, but patience is becoming harder to keep. :(
 
Well looks like I'm just a sucker. From now on I'm only doing COD. Cash on delivery of chips.
 
This sucks. I hope you've not been ripped off but I also hope Mike is OK. It's a shit situation and I hope it works out for you.

Either way, I've been thinking (for a while) that we as a community probably should steer away from the PayPal F&F trend (buyer just adds 3%) for many reasons including this example. Maybe another discussion piece for the general forum though, eh.

Thanks I hope not either but there has been zero communication from Mike. Coming from Canada ... chips shouldn't take over a month. I won't be doing F&F anymore because there is no recourse. I might be out $210. I'll split the fee with the seller. Because situations like this are just stupid.

That totally sucks man... I'm really sorry to hear you got no response from the seller for quite some time... I've been buying chips from the community for quite a few years and this is the first time in a loooooong time this has happened... I'll refrain from too much comment here so the water doesn't get even muddier but I'm really hoping for a good resolution... I also hope this experience doesn't taint it too much your view of the community as we have a bunch of really good people around... Hang in there man...

Not yet, but I will probably give it a shot. Not sure PayPal will be too supportive when they hear I was actually buying something. Thinking of a way to frame it so as not to sound shady. F&F is kind of skirting the rules I think. Even though we are all "friends". I guess it's how you look at it.

Honestly I just don't understand how you sell chips and never check back on the site.

Thank you for the sympathy. I know life happens and there may be extenuating circumstances. Chips are a hobby after all. I certainly hope nothing terrible happened of course. But at the same time I fail to see how anyone wouldn't have 5 minutes at some point to check in and reassure folks.

Thank you very much. Gives me a little ray of hope that I may receive them one day. I bought the pink fracs. Sent payment on 02 Sep and have not heard from Mike since despite many PM's, messages in this thread, and emailing him through paypal. I think I found his Facebook profile. Is he a "PokerStars" grinder?

Nope there is no recourse for F&F transactions. They are not covered by buyer protection. Word of warning when dealing with new members that have low post counts.

Oh man....this was my daily entertainment - see the desperation going up (correctly so) and the creativity by which these chips were hunted down, all mixed with a little Italian emotion - great stuff (sorry I used your despair as window away from my work crazy work schedule:oops:). That being said, I am also really glad it worked out - me as a newish member - appreciate the benefit of the doubt. However, I agree that adding the 3% and having options if some should go south is probably not a bad investment. I have bought and received chips from all kinds of members of this forum since July this year and have never had a problem. I appreciate that.

All the best to @Stadium.Mikeadium - contrary to all our crazy chippers-minds there a few things in life that dwarf the importance of poker chips - I know blasphemy - but there is something to it.

All's well that end's well - the pinks will give you extra pleasure now - because you worried about the babies!;)
 
He was very apologetic and feels very badly he missed the mark on this one. Took full responsibility. I can tell he is a standup guy going through a rough patch. I don't know all the fine details, but from the description of what happened...it does make a little sense. He even went the extra mile to send them express.

I'm glad I was able to entertain folks lol. I was getting pretty aggravated, but all is forgiven on this. :)

The Terrible's set is coming together muhahaha
